  1. I also can't see him paying Boldin $8-9M a year, in addition to giving-up a pick or picks. He never wanted TO when he was in Dallas, and never has had other high-priced WR's.
  2. Not exactly. I was listening to ESPN Radio this morning with Erica Sillyass and some other lackey and they said that giving TO #81 without TO paying Hardy money for it or taking another number was "enabling" him.
  3. The 2nd wave of FA is about to start. And Trip MacCracken? Any relation to Phil?
  4. Hardy should pay TO for the opportunity to teach him.
  5. It was despicable. But from what I understand, it was out of character for him and he learned from it.
  6. How'd they do after Martz left? Well, Kitna got injured 4 games into the season and they had to go with Orlovsky and then the washed-up Culpepper. So no real comparison can be made. But like with the Lions, the QB'sin SF put up a decent amount of yards and still had the 27th ranked scoring offense to show for it. And their QB's took a ton of sacks.
  7. Think Evans of 2006, when he had Moulds opposite him.
  8. Considering the only good DE available in FA is Peppers, and he'll cost a 1st rounder and $14M a year, not to mention he wants to play in a 3-4, and the draft isn't that good for pass-rushing DE's, the current stable is what the Bills will have to rely on, with hopefully Ellis showing something.
  9. Considering people think Lynch should be suspended for his first arrest and misdemeanor conviction, I can only assume people think the same for Haynesworth.
  10. It's a shocker that Martz is unemployed, no?
  11. Boldin will require a 1st rounder, if not more, and $9M/year with a $25M signing bonus, if not more. Good luck with that!
  12. It's all (ahem) relative.
  13. Hardy has no emotional attachment to the number, or at least he shouldn't. His rookie year was mostly forgettable, and he wore #82 in college.
  14. Pulling a gun on dear ol' dad is much more down to earth than armed robbery.
  15. Except his dad's number was (prisoner #) 352342363. Doesn't exactly fit on an NFL jersey.
  16. Bingo. The offense started to tank once Trent did. And not having another legitimate WR, much less a competent TE, certainly didn't help matters either. Throw in Owens, Fine (who will be healthy and in his 2nd season) and the offense should be much better. Assuming they get a halfway decent LG, although it shouldn't be too hard to upgrade from Dockery.
  17. Yeah, just like TO wasn't doubled last year.
  18. You mean besides Revis and the Bills' DB's?
  19. Hardy was interviewed by a hometown TV station and had this to say about Owens: “I welcome him with open arms because he’s going to help me,” Hardy told WANE-TV. “I’m ready for him to teach me everything.” So much for the "controversy."
  20. Please lend me that crystal ball of anticipation that says a) Trent won't target Owens more than Evans anway, making this all moot, b) that Owens will definitely blow up if he's not leading the team in every receiving category (does that include yards per catch as well?), and c) that in blowing-up, he'll destroy the team. This is another "no brainer (sic)," like hiring Mike Martz to be OC, right?
  21. You see, this is the problem when you focus on yards and nothing else. The Lions had the 19th ranked scoring offense in 2006 and the 16th ranked scoring offense in 2007. Hardly a juggernaut. And while it was better than the Bills have had the past several years, the Bills also didn't have TO at WR to pair with Evans.
  22. You mean like he's done every place else?
  23. Considering the Bills showed Owens his locker with a #81 jersey with his name on the back, this ISN'T a controversy. Whether the Bills cleared it with Hardy beforehand is another matter, but not Owens' problem or issue. And since Hardy wore #82 in college, it's not like it's his number anyway. Move along, people.
  24. TO won't explode this year...unless it's close to the end of the year and the team sucks.
