Lesser talent than Fowler/Preston and Dockery? LOL!
I like how everyone uses the sacks-given-up argument for Peters. Well Dockery gave-up 8.25 sacks last year and the Bills considered benching him at mid-season. And unfortunately for him, he couldn't blame missing the entire off-season and pre-season like Peters could.
Hangartner has good size, smarts, and nastiness, which beat Fowler and Preston right off the bat.
It wasn't as simple as you make it out to be. The Bills were still running on their drive to end the 3rd quarter and to start the 4th, and had a chance to kick a FG 5 minutes into the 4th quarter, but elected to pass on 4th down and failed. The next drive was a 3-and-out with a run mixed in there, and ended with a missed FG by Lindell. And then the Bills got the ball back with 1:47 and were forced to pass, and failed. It was a poor performance all over that day.
Hardy is ahead of schedule and will be ready by training camp. However with TO, Evans, Reed, Parrish, Johnson, and Jenkins, they might put him on the PUP list and keep him there when the season starts.
Taking 7 catches for 71 yards and a TD and working-it-out to a full season, that's 1136 yards and 16 TD's. If that's single-coverage, it's horrible. Especially considering the other WR's accounted for 21 catches and 229 yards in that game.
So Springs is crowing that he held TO to less than 100 yards receiving?
And in last year's game, Witten caught 7 passes for 90 yards and a TD and Crayton caught 7 passes for 87 yards. Hardly a dominating performance by the Redskins' secondary any way you look at it.
Put TO in motion.
