  1. I don't want to hear anything about Tony Gonzalez ever again, much less see the Bills trade for him.
  2. According to Lombardi, Gonzalez didn't want to play for another small market team. That means he didn't want to play for Buffalo.
  3. According to this article, Gonzalez didn't want to play for the Bills, but would have played for the Packers. May he rot in KC. http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=806267
  4. I take back what I said about Gonzo as well...assuming he would have played for the Bills if traded to Buffalo. So now Gonzo's PO'd, Edwards is PO'd, and the fans are probably PO'd. Might be time to update the ol' resume, Carl.
  5. I said "before he [Cherepanov] went out," meaning to imply that the chest thump (not precordial thump, which as you mentioned is a therapeutic maneuver) might have unwittingly induced the VT/VF. As for the precordial thump, yes only trained people should perform it.
  6. He's been injured since pre-season.
  7. The kid did have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Probably went into pulseless VT/VF. There has been discussion that Jagr gave him a chest thump before he went out, but I haven't seen that verified.
  8. I forgot to mention this before, so thanks for bringing it up. The Giants traded Shockey for a 2nd and 5th pick to the Saints, but would only offer a 4th for Gonzalez, which is what the Bills got or McCargo? They must not think he has much left in the tank even right now. So maybe it's best that a trade to the Bills didn't get done. And instead of wishing injury on him, I'd rather see him prove he wasn't worth a 3rd rounder, and that the non-trade was a blessing in disguise. IMHO I think he lost a lot of respect league-wide over this whole fiasco and maybe that was a factor in the low trade offers.
  9. I could understand it if he played somewhere nice like SD or SF, but Kansas City? Not that I have anything against KC, but it's not like it's better than Buffalo, and the Chefs will be lousy for a couple more years still. He should have said "I want to be traded to the Giants or Eagles" and that's it. That way no one's time is wasted. Jerk.
  10. I said this in the other thread, but the Bills offered a 3rd and the Giants and Eagles offered a 4th, but Gonzalez didn't want to play for Buffalo and the Chefs didn't want to take just a 4th (it sounded like they would have taken the 3rd from Buffalo). So in the end, Gonzalez decided that he's rather rot away on a rebuilding team that will struggle to win games the remainder of his career, in Kansas City, which is so much better than Buffalo.
  11. What I heard, from NFL Network, is the Gonzalez wanted to play for the Giants and Eagles, but they only offered a 4th. The Bills offered a 3rd, but Gonzalez didn't want to go there. So he'll finish his career on a rebuilding team in KANSAS CITY. Great job, Tony.
  12. "I thought we were competitive in the kicking game..."
  13. Sirius is reporting that Parrish says he'll play this weekend. Cool if true. Hopefully McGee is back.
  14. I see you, and I'll raise:
  15. It's more like deception and chicanery.
  16. Fair enough. She isn't one of the most beautiful women ever. But I see the thread title has changed.
  17. I think Jewel is pretty hot. The snaggletooth knocks her down some, but not a whole lot. I think Deano is including her music in his overall assessment of her, although I could be wrong on that. If not, I'd still do her...with a muzzle on so I won't have to see her snaggletooth AND she won't be able to yodel.
  18. And yet the 49'ers are still losing. Go figure.
  19. LaBoy made the mistake of not staying on the ground. The zebras got it right. But what a finish!
  20. F off, Giants.
  21. I'd take the Bills' offense (from last week) and the Cowboys' defense, thankyouverymuch!
  22. I don't know about that. Apparently there's interest on the Bills' part, which is a start. And they did trade a 3rd and 5th for Stroud who isn't a spring chicken but still has a couple years left.
  23. I'm sure they were looking for a 1st rounder initially, and then saw what the Giants were offering and changed it to a first day pick. Soon it will be a 3rd rounder.
  24. He's the same place Fred Jackson was last year for the first 6 games; being wasted on the inactive list.
  25. Good point. It's a shame the 2007 season never happened.
