  1. No strong established HC or GM would want to work in Buffalo, period, regardless of the owner. It's not a big market. As for IR'ing Crowell to teach him a lesson, that's ridiculous. Putting him on IR ensures he gets paid for the year to do nothing more than rehab, and if there's anything Ralph hates more than a quitter, it's a thief. And if he hadn't been IR'd and played this year, he would have been playing partially hurt and possibly lowered his market value. If anything, the Bills did Crowell a favor by IR'ing him, allowing him to be completely healthy going into the off-season and having his 2007 season being the one that people remember.
  2. Other sites I visited said he was an RFA, while designating some players ERFA. Hopefully the ERFA is true.
  3. Jackson will be a RFA. But I doubt anyone considers him worthy of a 2nd rounder, much less a 1st rounder. So I'm betting the Bills offer him a contract and if he refuses, tenders him at the lowest level. Then they match any offer.
  4. Dr. D mentioned that in his original post.
  5. Wrong, wrong, wrong. It starts with their excellent O-line (coached by the great and underrated Dante Scarnecchia) who can protect the QB and get any RB they put out on the field 3.5-4.0 YPC. Then you add in Moss, Welker, and Faulk (3rd down) as receivers and it's a tough offense to defend. Belichick though, is a great coach. However I find all the love for Cassel funny. He's gone against the 26th and 28th ranked pass defenses, and racked-up consecutive 400 yard games. The last QB to do that was...Billy Volek. We'll see how many more great games Cassel has, although I suspect he'll have a good one against the Seahawks and their 31st ranked pass defense. And it doesn't hurt that the AFC East plays a weak schedule this year.
  6. Yes, just replace "Somali pirates" with "hedge fund workers."
  7. The Bills weren't going to go after him, period. Luckily the Dols made the mistake of taking Culpepper over him, and also giving-up a 2nd round pick for him.
  8. But what about his time in Carolina?
  9. But, but, but Buffalo has become irrelevant, right Tony?
  10. That call in the Browns game was pathetic. There was no flag initially because it was a legal hit. The zebra only threw it after he saw Harrison whack his head against the benches, as if that somehow made it illegal.
  11. Duke Preston is starting to grow on you? Ewwww. Wash him off!
  12. I'm sure it will be as bad as Y2K. They can call it Y2K12.
  13. Yep, gave them a lot more time to think about their next play calls.
  14. They've been getting picked all game long. Game over. What a tainted win.
  15. The Bills under Jauron arguably run-up the score once, after coming off an 0-4 skid, and Jauron is "classless." What a joke.
  16. How was that not holding?
  17. If not Gonzalez being a tool and Tamba Hali's guarantee of a win. If the Chefs wanted the Bills to take it easy on them, they should have knelt down themselves instead of vainly trying to score.
  18. Would you like a tissue?
  19. Richard would have been nice over say, Bowen or Bell.
  20. McGee didn't play against Arizona. And he was hurt against the Dols and probably still not 100% against the Jets.
  21. The fastest guy is Greer. I remember reading that a few years ago, and Greer arrived after Evans. I don't know if McKelvin is faster than him, though.
  22. Peters had 2 penalties and the Bills still scored a TD on that drive. He did a lot more good than bad.
  23. It's the consecutiveness that's the difference. And I wouldn't doubt that Cutler was on a short leash against the Browns, after 2 straight bad games, but he played well in that game.
  24. Actually it was in his 2nd game as a Bill.
