  1. People who were at the game saw Hardy running fast and wide open down the field on several occasions. and Trent ignoring him (and Lee). And Clements is faster than Hardy, a rookie. That could explain him being blanketed. And it was a fade, not a corner route. Where Roscoe's (and Rian's, and Brian's) head was yesterday is anyone's guess. Hard to believe Parrish is one of the top punt returners in NFL history after yesterday's performance. And yet JP's stats were better than Trent's in every category except sacks, and the Bills made 3 trips into the redzone under him, and 1 under Trent. Not in small part to the 49'ers playing the deep ball and opening-up running lanes for Marshawn when JP was in there. But the trips were wasted by Lindell and a failed 4th down try that would have been a FG try had Lindell made the earlier kick. And again, JP hadn't played in over a month and didn't take the starter's reps. Agreed.
  2. An fugly win is better than any loss. So while I would have been frustrated at the level of play, I would have been happy with the win and looked forward to a better-played game the following weekend. And to answer your other post, where am I defending Jauron? I want him gone. I just don't want a guy who has shown that he can lead a team to the playoffs but never advance very far in them. I'd rather go for someone like Billick who's won a SB, or a promising newbie like Spagnuolo.
  3. Why? The goal isn't to merely make the playoffs; it's to get to the SB. Marty will NEVER take a team to the SB, much less win it. That is pretty much guaranteed. And in his 5 years with the Chargers, they made the playoffs twice, despite all that talent. So it would at best be 2-3 years of playoffs, never winning a playoff game, and then he's fired and the process starts over again.
  4. For starters, saying that any part of the ST's isn't prepared is preposterous. Few teams spend as much time on ST's as the Bills. And even still, it doesn't explain Lindell missing 2-sub 40-yard FG's, when he previously made 53 of them in a row. And he's kicked a lot of FG's from the left hashmark. He needed to make those kicks, and didn't.
  5. Ralph is responsible for Trent and Rian's poor performances of late.
  6. If you're looking to merely improve on the Bills' current situation, i.e. getting to the playoffs, then yes Schottenheimer is your man. However I want more than just that, so Spags would be who I'd want.
  7. I find them quite entertaining, usually.
  8. Sherman is losing as a HC in college and was made by Favre. Schottenheimer can get your team to the playoffs, but they'll never get far in them. Reid has too much power in Philly and will likely want it again wherever he goes, but needs to take time away from the game to concentrate on his rapidly-expanding waist-line and his troubled boys. I'd love to go after Spagnuolo, and then Billick as a consolation prize.
  9. Of course you would. And Bucs fans would rather talk of Jon Gruden than Tony Dungy.
  10. I heard the first 3. But the first SB was their only realistic chance of winning (every other opponent was a better team; the Giants were not), and they squandered it.
  11. Really? Ask Carolina about Polian after that miracle second season. And that team was given 2 picks at the beginning and end of each round in the 1995 draft, plus a veteran allocation draft. And he would have been fired after the (non-playoff) 1994 season anyway, if he hadn't gotten himself fired earlier. As for Butler, he hamstrung the Bills' cap, Bolted, and then died. Unless you're claiming that staying in Buffalo would have cured his cancer.
  12. You "hurt for the players?" Don't. They (at least the ones you mentioned) make/made a great living and are/were treated like royalty by their fans. Furthermore, it's not like Kelly or Biscuit were "ruined," so I don't where you're getting that from. In fact, maybe if Kelly and Biscuit had cared a little more, they wouldn't have been partying until the wee hours of the morning OF THE SUPERBOWL.
  13. It's all relative, chimp. I wish my parents were super wealthy. They weren't. I still appreciated what they did for me. But it's a free country. You're allowed to follow whatever team you want. If you think Ralph is an ahole, you can be a fan of another team. It really IS that simple.
  14. I heard on Turkey Day that the Eagles' O-line was the biggest. Maybe that was after they had Thanksgiving dinner, though.
  15. LMMFAO at "all he's done for Buffalo is keep the team here."
  16. And you'd want him to say..."no, I'm not ready?" Or how about "Trent is awesome! Don't let his pathetic play fool you. I'm not fit to carry his panties jockstrap and am just keeping the seat warm for his triumphant return?"
  17. He was talking about too early in the season, not game. And the 3rd QB can play anytime, but if he comes in before the 4th, the 1st and 2nd QB can't go back into the game. Jauron is King Nothing. He doesn't own squat. I see him starting Hamdan, now that the season's over, for the reasons I mentioned.
  18. I didn't realize a strained vajay-jay was a season-ending injury. Man what a tease Edwards was! To answer the question, hell no it's not too early to go with Hamdan. Trent is finished and JP, who played better than Trent despite not having played since Arizona (no, kneeling down 3 times against the Chefs doesn't count) and not getting the starter's snaps, is gone at the end of the year. Hamdan is an UFA at the end of the year but he might re-sign, unlike JP. Let's see what he can do.
  19. "Hind and quartered?"
  20. Lindell definitely lost the game today. He missed 2 very makeable kicks and the Bills would have kicked the FG at the 7 yard line instead of going for it. While the offense wasn't good, it did enough to win the game and missing kicks like that (within the 40-yards) is inexcusable. And the refs are corrupt. There is no other explanation for their gross incompetence, and still being allowed to have jobs. The season's over. Fire Jauron and the rest of the coaching staff, sign or draft a new QB because Trent is done, make some FA moves, and see where next year takes us.
  21. Fine was looking like the next Butch Rolle, catching a TD with his first reception. But he inexplicably fell off-pace.
  22. I hope they re-sign Greer, Chambers and Preston. The rest are gone/aren't worth keeping. All the RFA's will be tendered, with the possible exception of Fox.
  23. Yeah, they seem like they'd be too classy to have sex there.
  24. FJ's been in the league for 3 years, but was on the PS for his rookie season. Since I believe that doesn't count as a year toward FA, he should be an ERFA.
