I wouldn't be concerned. This is an example of social engineering by spammers. They know that users will more likely trust an email from a friend than a stranger, so they forge the From: field. It is more likely that there is a virus on her friend's windows machine and the spammer is just pairing up random email addresses from that machine than hers. Are all of these friends common friends? Would all of their addresses be on each others machines? With that said, Apple has stopped supporting Leopard with security updates. So you depending on your surfing habits, you may or not be at risk.

Squeaker may be little too strong, but it wasn't a run away. The electoral college is sort of built to create that perception, but a 2-3% difference isn't a runaway in my book. I would put that at 10%. This election was close enough that any number of small events could have perturbed it the other way.

Sorta, but not like you explained it. Romney could care less about social issues and because of that he allowed Obama to pick a couple of them to shore up support for his 2008 base. Abortion was never going to be on anyone's agenda in a Romney administration. However, Obama needed to make sure he kept as many women as possible, so he used that non-issue to drive a false wedge to stop any potential bleeding from the women's vote. With Romney being silent on it, Obama was successful in his fear-mongering and division to hold on to his coalition. This was another example of how his lofty unification rhetoric is complete BS.

Using Latino and Black as proxy for "economic stratification" is what many on your side refer to as soft racism. No?

So, it wasn't D+8-11 like some polls showed. It looks like 1/2 the analysis was right - Obama got 10M fewer votes than 2008. That is ginormous. What was wrong was that the R's would be out in greater force this election after sitting on the sideline. Romney couldn't even equal McCain's vote total... Both facts supported my view - this president isn't very popular and Romney was not a compelling replacement.

I think what he is getting at is that energy policy, foreign policy, taxation, etc... should be skin/gender agnostic.

Rove isn't ranting at all. He has lived this many times before. He is asking to be cautious. How maniacal of him....

This statement lacks any connection to reality. A moderate Romney doesn't get past the primaries. The bottom line is Romney was never a compelling candidate. He is the GOP's version of John Kerry.

The implication is that the Democrats are and that is complete horseshit. Neither are tolerant of anything different from their platforms - anyone who disagrees is drinking their own Kool-Aid.

While I don't believe Romney will win, all this smack talk was just like the Bush elections... Just let the election unfold before you beat your chests.
