Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd still no -
Yes and no, he is important to the team but is he worth 15 Million, no way.. He is no Sequon Barkley or Jahmyr Gibbs by any means. Barkley is a better running back by every metric. Jahmyr Gibbs is a much more explosive back and runner than James. James I believe is a better run after the catch type of guy but he does not have the power of the other two backs I mentioned. But it comes down how he is used in our offence in which he excels. Honestly I think he can be replaced as well, with any top RB coming out of college today, they are all a dime a dozen, and they all have unreal speed and they all can catch the ball. Is 15 million to much yes, 8 to 10 million maybe. This is my opinion and everyone will have a different take on Cook and how he benefits this team as a player. But he is replaceable.

I know how the minimum salary works and he is technically above it... Even if slightly...And I would take him above plenty of other dime corners The difference is most players getting cut are not NFL quality players.. cam Lewis is an NFL quality slot corner, back up safety and special team player he's actually talented and tough enough to play in the NFL... And he has tape that's better than a lot of dime corners

the party run by Laura Loomer. -
If the rookies show promise, he'd be cut in final cutdowns when some 30+ players per team are released. And the more years you have in the NFL the more your minimum salary is. His is right around where a 6th year player is.

A recurring feature for PPP readers. Today: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2025/06/07/elon-musk-third-party-andrew-yang-interview-00392288 Andrew Yang has reached out to Elon Musk with a sales pitch: Let’s build a third party together

If he got cut in camp he would absolutely be picked up by another NFL squad He signed a 2-year contract above what the veteran minimum would be for his salary.. if they thought he was a bum he would have got the lowest contract available.. even getting a couple hundred thousand above the minimum is more than a lot of players He's definitely better than most teams dime corners which is the only point I making is he is an NFL quality player regardless what team

It's hard when Cook is a liability in pass pro which means he essentially can't be on the field on 3rd downs... Hard to commit that kind of money to a 2 down back no matter how good he is

Doubtful. Is it worth guaranteeing yourself deportation?

Fred Jackson...he reminded me of Thurman so much with the way he would run as if he had eyes in the back of his head and always knew the right angle to take so a chasing player couldn't get him. If the Bills stopped trying to to replace him every year and just let him play, he would have been a 10K yard back for them.

Annnnnnnnnnnd nope -
He was an UFA last year and signed with the Bills for basically the minimum for someone with his number of years in the NFL. And releasing a player that late in the pre-season makes it much tougher for them to hook on with a new team. At best he's probably looking at being signed after game 1 so the new team can pay him game-by-game. It's a numbers game. There are 4 true safeties (Rapp, Bishop, Forrest and Hamlin) not counting Owens, 10 CBs, 1 returner (Codrington) and 2 CB/S (Lewis and Hancock). Again if Hancock looks promising, and especially Owens...

“In every case?” I’m not sure I follow what you mean by that. As for shoveling for him, I don’t see it that way at all. I’m simply laying out how presidential pardons go. A president/team decides who to pardon. In many cases, the people being pardoned are guilty of a crime, though more recently, given retroactive grace for past transgressions that likely were criminal. That’s it. That’s the story. From there, it’s up to the citizen interested in the process to decide if the pardon was righteous or the result or not. That’s it. That’s the story. -

Have a feeling this is gonna be the catalyst to much larger more widespread riots. Going to be 2020 2.0 but worse. -
Front offices are typically broken down into two sides Football guys and non football guys GMS are probably split 50/50 on if they have a scouting background or grew up on the team business side But plenty of scouts have no aspiration to ever get into high front office positions... Which is less job certainty with more pressure... And other people's decisions affect you Guys like Bill nunn got enshrined in the Hall of Fame because they were excellent scouts and never wanted to be in a higher authority position Their calling was finding 14 Hall of Fame players like Bill did.. not to be a higher front office guy Those are aspirations for guys like Dan Morgan, who's not your typical on the road scout

I was a ten year old kid, and Kochman was my favorite. He came and went like a shooting star. My Dad explained to me that he wouldn't be playing anymore. I was crestfallen, as kids get in that type of situation. I am so glad that you remember him. I would have bet that no one here would recognize the name.
