Just since the "mandate" has come down, the Christian loonies (not all Christians) that Bush appealed to secure his second term, are coming out of the woodwork, claiming that they now represent all of the "red" states. Karl Rove is promising that Bush will push for his constitutional ammendment defining marriage, some PTA in Dallas has decided that now, all text books should refer to marriage between a man and a woman (not a union between two people), textbooks should only refer to abstinence when referring to safe sex, activist doctors' are advising women (despite medical research to the contrary) that abortion increases their chance of getting cancer, and now Falwell is gearing up to lobby for activist judges in the Supreme Court. Republican domination (4 Carter, 8 Clinton) These things go in cycles... no one is going to put up with this right-wing administration for too long before it swings back the other way. Falwell is just showing how it goes... his over-the-top hypocrisy gets really old, and with the voters, his type of governing gets replaced if you wait a while. Now it is just a waiting game.
