Round 7, Pick 220: ELLIS LANKSTER, CB, West Virginia

Recommended Posts

It's the 7th round, there was nobody that good out there. So the Bills take a player they may like.

Who did you want, Drew Willey? He !@#$ing sucks. But we will probably get him as a FA - he won't get drafted.

Here was the best available (and overall rank), according to Kiper/ESPN, when Buffalo was on the clock:

1. Rashad Jennings (RB) - 101 overall

2. Manuel Johnson (WR) - 102 overall

3. Cameron Morrah (TE) - 106 overall

4. Lydon Murtha (OT) - 110 overall

5. Dannell Ellerbe (ILB) - 118 overall

WTF

;)

What is it with this staff and their man-love for corners?

If they did some more to improve the pass rush and perhaps drafted some depth at LB maybe we wouldn't need so many corners in coverage for the 15 seconds the oposing QB has to throw the ball.

OMG...

Let's draft 10 kickers next year kk.

I think they had DJ locked in a locker for 1.5 day and he managed to get out a bit too early...

QUIET! Your giving all our draft secrets away for next year! The year after were focusing solely on 4th String QB's

Just flat out stupid. Why couldn't they use the 6th and 7th round picks to bring in players at position of need and then go out and sign 25 CB's after the draft is done to make Jauron happy.

It's not like they have to pay him..

Because what CB will choose to sign with Buffalo as the 14th DB on their roster? On the bright side, this will make it easier to sign FAs at positions of greater need. Four college DBs must tie or set some kind of record. Obviously, the Bills were suffering from CB withdrawl after drafting lineman with their first two picks.
