  1. I just did this -- only got $20 for 5 months (off of Sunday Ticket $55.99 for 5 months), no SuperFan. If I wanted to keep/add Superfan, they would've given me only $10 off per month....
  2. Nothing, really. It's not so much Roski as his proposal, which is already approved and uses no public $$. All prior stadium proposals in LA have failed to get very far, even with involvement of such monied interests as Eli Broad and Michael Ovitz. That Roski is proposing a privately financed facility -- one that already has been approved by City of Industry council and voters -- means that he's already most of the way there. Plus, he built our Staples Center (where the Lakers and Kings play), so he's done it before. Perhaps I'm being too optimistic. I've been known to suffer from that fatal flaw, esp. as concerns NFL football in LA.....
  3. One, it's not desolate. It's 22 miles from downtown LA, at the confluence of two major freeways. 12 million people live within 30 miles. (http://www.losangelesfootballstadium.com/) Two, it has a very good chance of being built -- it is financed completely by private funds. All it needs is a team. The problem is that the builder -- who also owns a stake in the LA Kings and the LA Lakers -- probably can't both build a stadium and buy a team. He would build the stadium for a stake in the team. But if anyone can get this done, Ed Roski can.
  4. Thank you. 62 posts before someone pointed out that Dallas did the same thing before he played one down in that city. In other words, BFD.
  5. Now get it done with Time Warner. I Time Warner does not have the NFL Network (paid or basic) by August, I'm switching to DirecTV. Heck, I might switch to DirecTV anyway, TW sux.
  6. A billionaire paying 9% taxes? My heart bleeds. He's free to move where he wants, but don't feel sorry for him.
  7. They released him because the Skins proposed modifying his contract to require 25 offseason workouts in Ashburn, VA, and he refused, preferring instead to spend the offseason in Miami with his family. Don't you guys read anything?
  8. Here was the best available (and overall rank), according to Kiper/ESPN, when Buffalo was on the clock: 1. Rashad Jennings (RB) - 101 overall 2. Manuel Johnson (WR) - 102 overall 3. Cameron Morrah (TE) - 106 overall 4. Lydon Murtha (OT) - 110 overall 5. Dannell Ellerbe (ILB) - 118 overall GMFB
  9. Seattle got Unger and Curry. And one of Denver's Round 1s next year.
  10. According to ESPN's "Kiper's Best Available" when Buffalo was on the clock, Nelson was #1.
  11. I second Tortured Soul's question...was about to ask it myself.
  12. Hey Tim. Thanks for hangin' with us. So it's being reported that Tony Gonzalez still interested in a trade. Will the Bills make another play for him? What are our chances? Heard anything? Thanks man. Enjoy your time here in Southern Cal. -pistol
