  1. Been to it many times! Hoping our Bills will be more impressive tomorrow...
  2. Will be in Cologne for the game tomorrow. Anyone know of a bar that will be showing the game? I don’t need sound. I just want to be able to watch it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. Go Bills!
  3. JP Losman. Not only did I buy the jersey, but had it signed / framed. Awful, stupid decision. It's since been unframed and replaced with Bruce Smith. Not one of my finest decisions.
  4. IF the Bills do end up pulling this W out (I realize that is a big IF), I am really wondering what type of team the Pats will field in the final week. Yes, they'll have the bye week already to rest up and may not want to get rusty, but the risk of injury will far outweigh the benefit (especially against a very physical DEF like the Bills). If the Pats take care of business against the Jets this week, I believe the Pats lock down home field throughout by virtue of their head-to-heads against both Denver and Indy. Now, I now the Pats haven’t traditionally laid down for any teams in the final week or so, but I do think this one would be different. I can’t say I agree with all of the talk about the last game in NE being the toughest challenge. I think the toughest challenge will be watching the scoreboard. Getting the help required will be tough… Just my two cents. GO BILLS!!! Pete
  5. If anybody is planning to go to the game tomorrow, make sure to arrive early. Parking will be a mess due to the Tigers / Orioles game starting at 3:30pm. Due to the fact the stadium is located downtown, parking is typically a disaster anyways. All of the radio stations are mentioning to get downtown early. Lots open at 7am and the best tailgate area is in Eastern Market which is a bit of a hike from Ford Field. Regardless, it offers the best area to tailgate. With that being said, it is still a FAR cry from what we have to offer in Orchard Park! Hopefully many Bills fans have made the 4.5 hour hike out here this weekend. Go Bills!!! Pete
  6. I just arrived in Cologne, Germany and was planning to watch the game online via my Sunday Ticket subscription. However, I've just found out they are showing it locally in the Detroit area and it'll be blacked out for me due to my zip code being from that viewing area. Any help/suggestions to be able to catch it over here? I searched the Bills Backers to try and find a bar here without any luck. Any help would be appreciated! GO BILLS!!!
  7. I should start this by saying that Stevie Johnson has to be one of the most creative / non-traditional route runners out there. His basketball-style makes him extremely effective in getting distance from his defenders. Additionally, he has done a much better job eliminating dropped passes this year. I am glad the Bills chose to pony up and keep him around. With all of this being said, there is a huge area for improvement in my mind. It comes in the yards after catch. It really seems to me that once the catch is made, Stevie's first inclination is to fall to the ground. It's almost as he looks for a bit of gentle contact as a reason to fall to the ground and/or avoid the hit. Is it only me who thinks this? Now, I'm nto suggesting he put his helmet down and go into "beast mode" through linebackers, but it would be nice to see him seek to make a play after the catch has been made. Andre was the best in the businness at doing thins and I believe he could learn a few things from watching some of his tape. The catch was just the beginnning.... Another frustrating loss....hopefully in my lifetime there will be a SuperBowl win....
  8. I just found out about this yesterday from a friend of mine...if you call DirecTV and say that you want to cancel you Sunday Ticket primarily because of cost, they will offer you a $20 off per month deal for 6 months . This is basically $120 off your price. I did it yesterday after hearing about it from my friend. It works! In short, state to DirecTV you are looking to cancel your service. When they ask why, state cost. They will then give you the deal they have been authorized to provide. Hopefully this helps out some fellow Bills fans. Apologies if this has already been posted by somebody else. I did a quick search and didn't see anything related to it. DirecTV - 1-800-DIRECTV
  9. Totally disagree...the reason Bly wants outta here is the atmosphere. He is tired of losing. He doesn't see eye to eye with Millen. And finally, he is looking for an extension. Corners are corners. If you can cover a WR well, it doesn't matter what type of system you are in...
  10. Living here in Michigan it is widely known that Matt Millen has given Dre Bly's camp permission to seek a trade out of Detroit. While I don't consider him among the elite corners (top 5), I do think that he might be at that second tier. He also makes quite a bit less than the Lions will command. I wonder if Levy has been on the phone with Millen to try to get something done. Kevin Jones is facing a tough injury to come back from and there is speculation here whether or not it could be career threatening. Maybe a McGahee for Bly swap? That would allow us the flexibility to lose Clements and backfill him with Bly. RBs are much easier to replace, in my opinion, than good corners. That is also one position where rookies consistantly excel...(T. Jones is also an option) Just my thoughts from Detroit. Go Bills!
  11. I'll be there at the game as well (if you meant the 10/15 reg season game). I live here in Detroit. When we go to the games, we also park in the Eastern Market. There is no need to buy a parking pass. You can pay cash when you get there. The fee is pretty high...I believe that it is around $20. This is basically the only place to tailgate in detroit. The rest of the places are basically just parking spots. For the record, tailgating is illegal in Detroit, but is "tolerated" in the Eastern market. There is about a mile walk to the stadium...not too bad. Safety is not an issue during gameday. Don't expect a Buffalo tailgate as Orchard Park is much more of an event than the Lions fans' tailgate... For the comment re: the Ford Motor Company below, I actually work here at Ford. The Ford family owns the team (and a significant amount of our company). The field roof has our company logo on it. It just makes sense for the team owned by the Ford family to bear the name and company. Keep supporting the car company (for my sake) and the Bills. There are many of us Bills fans working for Ford!
  12. Not sure if this has made the headlines or not, but I am told that Carson will not play this Sunday. My friend knows the person who supplies medical supplies/training support to the Bengals. Apparently, when he visited their facility yesterday, Palmer was on crutches and was definitely going to be out. I think this is pretty good news for the Bills as they go for the playoffs. I don't think Kitna is much worse than Palmer (personal opinion), but the team has not played with him for quite some time. If anything, it is a bit disruptive. Go Bills! Pete
