Does Lynch return as the starter? The Bills starting 4-0 next year is about as likely as JP making the HOF. That said, yes, Lynch would get his job back because it would be the wrong thing to do... and this organization loves setting the example for what NOT to do. Lynch could formally get the start, but the backs would regularly relieve each other and as each game went on, the guy with the better play would get more carries. Will the FO blame it on Lynch's absence or realise it has nothing to do with who is on the field, because as long as DJ is coachin the team there is no chance of a Bills victory?... regardless of who is on the field. Within the extreme original statement there is a good question though. What happens if Jackson Runs well and we have success if Lynch has to sit out the first four games? Well there is no doubt that it will boost Jackson's stock and value to our team and it will have a residual effect as far as how much extra playing time he gets. But let's make no bones about it, Lynch is our starter, He plays with passion and everyone on the Bills Team has his back, and thank god they don't place too much stock in some of these extremely judgemental people's opinon's that we call fans (more like haters). Does Lynch return as the starter? I will worry about that set of issues when and if they come true. Even if Lynch does get suspended I believe it is more likely to be one or two games and not four. Jackson brings a different skill set to the table. Jackson hits the holes faster and is a considerably better receiver out of the backfield. Lynch is more of a dancer and runs with more brute force. Strictly statistically speaking, Jackson puts up better numbers than Lynch. If you disregard their pedigree and age, arguably Jackson is a better back for the system. More teams in the NFL are adopting this approach to help lengthen their players career and to have a different change of pace back.
