I bet the Bills are talking to the players agents right now to see what it will take to sign one of them on Feb. 27th. I do not know who would look the best in a Bills uniform however. Bills were paying Losman 2 million a year. They need someone who is willing to be a backup QB next year and be mostly on the sidelines while Edwards is on the field. Jeff Garcia would look great in a Bills uniform as would a couple of others mentioned above... It is a good list of possible names. Jeff Garcia wants to start and would not come here unless he gets a chance to compete for the starting QB position. The same goes for Leftwich. I will be looking to see what St. Louis does with Mark Bulger. Bulger has been injured the last two seasons and may be on the downside of his career and may be willing to take a backup role. If that happens, I hope the Bills go after him. Edwards need a steady senior QB who is not a threat to his position, but can be a calming influence to whom he can go to when in trouble. Another possibility could be to have Jon Kitna. And if Edwards gets injured, then we would have enough experience in a QB unlike JP. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I might be most tempted to go for Luke McCown, Patrick Ramsey or maybe Tyler Palko, as a third stringer.... but no, nobody that stands out... He is from Pittsburgh and loves being the mentor to Ben. He is not interested in any job outside pittsburgh (at least based on local reports). Leftwich would at least want to compete for the starting job and I am sure somewhere in Detroit or SF they will give him a shot. Another candidate that might be on the block is Derek Anderson. With the way his season turned around, may be he will sign up for a 1 year contract and try for a new contract next season. Who knows...That is what makes the off season very interesting.
