Bob Hayes will be inducted on the senior ballot. John Randle will be a close miss. The others on the list not super impressive--altho Centers has very good numbers. Shannon Sharpe: Will get in, but is he a 1st timer? Larry Centers: Has very good numbers and been to a few Pro Bowls. Might have to wait awhile. Lincoln Kennedy: Was he really THAT good? IMO not HOF material. John Randle: Very good early career, but inconsistent in later years. There are more deserving players at the moment. Dana Stubblefield: Great with the 49'ers, then became a part of the "Washington Monuments" with the Skins. Not worthy. Jessie Armstead: Very good LB, but again there are more worthy players at the moment. Darren Woodson: He should be in. A very effective Safety, but could wait a 2 or 3 years. Frank Wycheck: Questionable. Has surprisingly great numbers. Could have a long wait. Brian Mitchell: Great returner, but special teams has still yet to get serious recognition from the HOF. Kent Hull - Absolutely Fred Smerlas - Never saw him play Art Still - Ditto Cornelius Bennett - Eh...close, but I don't think so Chris Spielman - Nah...great player though Darryl Talley - Don't think so Steve Tasker - Yeah, why not? The guy was the best ever at what he did. My only counter argument would be, is he really more deserving than the best punter of all-time? No punters in HOF could mean no ST specialists. If Bruce Smith and Andre Reed make the HOF the Bills will join an elite class of only ten teams that have drafted more than one HOFer in the same draft. If Darryl Talley goes in also he'll join Jim Kelly and that will make two drafts of two HOFer being selected by the Bills. (1983) Jim and Darryl and (1985) Bruce and Andre. It would be amazingly cool to see Bruce and Andre go in together this year since they are from the same draft. Most likely won't happen but it would be very, very cool!! 1. I'm already dreading his acceptance speech. The thought of that man speaking out loud for multiple, consecutive minutes is both scary and slightly unbelievable, IMO.
