Just Incredible!

But unless you know WHY, it's really not a valid criticism.***

***I'm not defending Senator McCain. I'm just really sick of the ads. You know "Senator So-and-so hates families because they voted against..."

Fair enough. I do know what you are talking about in regards to the ads.. I know that because I design many ads of that nature.

I would say if someone has clearly voted against issues that are important to many people many times. Not only the voting records, but the statements he makes set a clear path to understanding his stance on the issues.

Like I needed another reason to hate you. ;)

I would say the average person has very little understanding of the issues or the bills that are sent up - just what is told "at" them. That doesn't mean I think John McCain or Barack Obama vote the way they did based on "deep understanding" either.

Have I mentioned what a mess this is?

I have heard that the "deal" was made by the dems and included Billions for dem groups including Acorn, a semi-communist group that has a record of signing up illegal aliens to vote among many other things (sort of like MOVE in Philly). It had no real reforms. but lots of pork.

how can someone or a group be "semi-communist"? You are or you are not communist! no room for "halves "in the communist doctrine!

Hey East Brady, can you post the link you got that from?

I like to share these things with my fellow Ron Paul supporters and of course the Obamabots and McCainiacs ;)

Breaking news on CNN, McCain will attend the debate.

I guess the fact that he's knows nohthing about the economy, that he couldn't reign in the House Republicans, that he really didn't do jack and that most of America saw through his ploy, made him change his mind.

What is a 'Market Capitalist?'

A person who believes in capitalism in a free and open market place. Duh! In other words, just the opposite of socialism where the government controls price, products in anticipation of demand. Supply and demand be damned.

So bottom line is that you actually believe McCain is really involved in this. You want to buy a bridge in Alaska? Oooops, that one has been done before.

Of course McCain is not involved with this matter. As the leader of the Republican party, he returned to Washington to talk to all the lobbyists and special interest groups. How dare John McCain think he has any say on the $700B bail out. He has some nerve.

Where would you put bankruptcy courts in that equation?

Do you consider the government issuing money is an undo interference in the market? Tariffs determine price also, are they ok?

Says who, the Douchbagers? If you think the Fed is prosperity you need to brush up on your history. Look what happened with JFK's plan with the Fed. Didn't last very long did it? Strangely why did LBJ pull it as soon as he resumed office?

The question our resident experts need to answer is, why has the FED pulled liquidity from the market when they claim that liquidity is the problem. The FED IS CAUSING the problem that they are trying to bailout.

The FED needs to be wiped off the face off this nation!!

Anybody still think this guy has a shred of credibility or dignity left in his body?

Sadly, no.

I support Obama, but pre-Palin I wouldn't have been totally freaked out about a McCain presidency because up until now I thought he was smarter and more prinicipled that the Bushistas. Boy was I wrong.

So McCain gambled on Palin and got a small boost, now she's starting to get a little embarrassing and his reluctance to let her sink or swim on her own is hurting him. He's being labeled a sexist for hiding her away ... and as she gets more exposure his reason for selecting her is being called into question.

Then he gambles on this political posturing over a mess that he participated in. Basically it just doesn't look good that an accord in principle was announced, he lands and then the whole thing blows up.

I believe that if something's not done we could face a mess that would hurt a lot of people who are currently not in a position to absorb more economic stress. I also believe that "cutting taxes" with the thought that big business will inject cash into the economy is pure, unadulterated bullshirt. Big business does what's good for itself, not for America. Big Business has ZERO patriotism. Further, I believe that some oversight is needed. Government has grown exponentially under Republicans. What's one more agency that might actually preserve us from this happening again.

You have to ask yourself - why is it that Republicans are always bailing out giant, bumbling corporations and institutions? As a child I sat in the Congressional gallery watching them yell at each other over the Lockheed bailout (Nixon I believe). Then there was the Bush I banking bailout... Didn't we bail out Chrysler during the Raygun years? Now this...

Maybe I have my dates wrong but it sure seems like big business gets bailed out a lot more than me and my family. I'd like to see the numbers of $$ we've spent on social programs compared to the corporate bailouts (not to mention silly futile wars).

$700b is a lot of money. A LOT.

More details, albeit from a blog:

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/26/the-...-acorn-bailout/

The gist of it is that the Democrats seem to be insisting on a provision in which a minimum of 20% of any money collected back goes into the Housing Trust Fund and the Capital Magnet Fund, entities which fund ACORN and La Raza.

(I didn't realize the USG funded La Raza! WTF!!!)

Listen to the news today instead of the dem talking points.

Oh, that's rich!!! What have you learned from "the news" today?

I could find 10 channels and 10 articles spouting off about the same subject, with different viewpoints. All you have to do is find the one you agree with, and that's the only one that's correct, right?
