Went to the Heat game last night

Well, I got home from work yesterday to find that my house had been broken into. The morons who broke in stole a $30 DVD player, my PS2, another $80-$100 DVD player and thats it. They rummaged through things, but nothing else was gone. In broad daylight!! Anyway, there was a brand new Mac G5 in my roomates bedroom, untouched. Also, about $2000 worth of electronics around the family room TV that were untouched. Im more pissed that someone was in my house than anything, but I still went to the game.

Anyway, we had courtside tickets, and it was my first ever NBA game, so needless to say, Im spoiled from now on! Lifesize shaq is unf-ckingbelieveable. Of course, I couldnt get drunk (being not only a monday night, but also the owner's seats) but I did have a couple barley pops, and by the third quarter was yelling for Van Gundy to put Christian Laettner in. By the 4th quarter, he obliged. Laettner looked so disinterested in the game it was amusing. Van Gundy looks like Ron Jeremy. Oh, and for the ladies here, sitting 4 rows ahead of us was Justin Timerberlake. He was escorted in with a few friends. Sat slouched for most of the game. I'll assume he got laid later.

All in all, it was a great time. Being that close is really unbeleiveable, and I dont even like basketball.

From what was taken it sounds like kids. It also sounds like they knew your schedule. If you can install an alarm because now knowing what you have they may be back for a repeat performance.

Nice.  I've been to a few NBA games, all Houston Rockets games, but I've never seen Shaquille O'Neal in person before.  Sorry 'bout the break-in.  I hope they catch the punk (or punks) and bust their heads open.

Yeah, I was happy Shaq played. I mean, its almost not fair to have to guard him one on one. When the Heat had 11 points, he had 9 of them!

Laettner was with the Washington Wizards last year at game I attended. He sat off to end of court all game away from team. Clearly during timeouts he was watching fan entertainment. The guy clearly did not care. Good paycheck if you can get it.

This town (Miami) is really excited about Shaq. When he wants to play, he is unstoppable. He is going to do all that he can do this year to show up Kobie.

I sat in those courtside seats once when Alonzo played for the Heat. From that vantage point, you really appreciate just how good the really good players are.

If John Kerry is elected President, people will no longer break into other people's houses to steal things.  Instead, they will break in to leave you brand new gear.

(In his stupid John Kerry Voice)...I have a plan, so that there will be no more break-in's, and if there is I will hunt down the burglar myself, and bring him to justice.....

Im coming home next thursday, and my mom asked me what kind of food i was dying for. Well, her lasagna is #1, then wings and pizza from Pasquales, but now I know I have to add some Chivettas to that. And you can bet your ass I'll be grilling in the 40 degree weather!

I'd suspect the break-in was some neighborhood kids. You might want to check around. They knew you'd be gone, they took stuff that stupid kids who didn't know better would take. They are probably playing with the PS2 at a house somewhere on your block.

Did you call the police? File a report? or just go to the game.

Seriously, Sorry for your loss, that sucks.
