I never thought the offseason would drive me to a point where i'd miss the irrational QB debates. Well ignoring the posturing, of your agenda, and others in the Losman camp. It's when the games count and opponents gameplan that Losman does poorly Just maybe if he had an offensive coordinator that could come up with a game plan that played to his strengths, and a legit #2 receiver he would have done better last year. He's only 3rd string because Homeland Security refuses to allow him to be any higher on the depth chart. In a similar vein, the DHS has also commanded that any pass Hamdan throws that is deep downfield must be referred to as a Liberty-pass, or a Freedom-pass, not a bomb, just to assuage the masses. JP was annointed the starter before training camp, because it was assumed he had developed the second half of 2006. Not many rookies are handed a starting job when there is a vetran on the squad. That is part of the reason, I think, that the whole notion that the Bills didn't give Losman a fair chance to become the starter is absurd. He was handed the job twice, and shat the bed both times. Remember how impressive TE was in pre-season? He was unbelievably good, which, in part, IMO, made the decision to go with Edwards over Losman that much easier to make, for the coaches. Go back and look at threads from that time (last August), and everyone was writing of TE's superior performance as being a result of the fact that he was playing against second/third stringers. JP was unimpressive in pre-season, and in training camp, but he (and his supporters, I was one of them) kept assuming it would all click once the real season started... Good points, I will have to take your word for the preseason because I was deployed last summer, I did hear good things about TE but I personally just marked that up to playing against the guys now working at McDonalds, or BK.. but from the information I gathered I just think smoked is a pretty extreme statement, maybe he beat him out but I don't think he whipped em that bad.. just my $0.02 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
