NBC probably thought they really had something here. BTW, this game is not TOTALLY meaningless. If the Sabres suffer a serious injury, I guess the game becomes meaningful, after all. eball Posted April 8, 2007 Share Posted April 8, 2007 It's not important from a playoff standpoint, but a win would break the following Sabres' regular season records: # of road wins in a season (currently tied w/ last year's team at 25) # of total wins in a season (53 this year is already the record, but could add to it) # of points in a season (74-75 team also had 113) Again, those records aren't important, but why back off now? The PP and PK still need work, particularly w/ Timmah back in the lineup. So what if Conklin gets the start; that's no big deal. I don't see Ruff letting them "take it easy" in this one.
