He's the kind of high character, productive player that Marv loves and he'd be a good short-term upgrade to the O-line. Anderson had 8 penalties, including 5 false starts and 2 holding. He gave up 6 sacks. I really would have quessed almost double these numbers for Anderson. And how ISNT this an upgrade to what we have? You want Peters' stats? Here ya go: Peters' Stats Runyan's Stats Considering age and salary, it's a no-brainer. But if you plan on moving Peters to LT (which I do), then it's another matter entirely. But as I said, if you sign Runan and somehow D'Brick falls to us, what do you do? Comparing Benny to Runyan is not worth the keystrokes to type it. What about busted plays because Benny's guy created chaos in the backfield, hurries, etc. I read somewhere that the Bills set a NFL record for the fewest yards gained in a 16 game season. Runyan is a battler who hates to lose. As far as I am concerned a huge problem with this offense is we have too many soft, finnesse type guys. Give me Runyan in a heartbeat. He looked bad this year and he's been consistently owned by better DE's he plays against. Strahan has made a career of bull rushing Runyan and speed rushers eat him for lunch. If he has something left in the tank, I wouldn't mind seeing him here. He's been on winning teams and has a warrior's attitude. The marshmellows on the Bills line could learn a lot from him.
