A secret even kept from many employees and players within the Buffalo Sabres organization. However, rumors are rampant this morning on the opening day of the 2005-2006 NHL season. Various sources told me that the Buffalo Sabres will be unveiling new jerseys at tonight's home opener against the New York Islanders. Not much is known about the new jerseys other than they will be a modernized Blue and Gold version. The Buffalo Sabres have not denied that they will be returning to Blue and Gold, but not until next season. However, that appears to be a smokescreen for one of the many surprises expected tonight.
