Draconator Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago One throw that isn't being talked about is a throw against the 49ers in 2020, played in Arizona. At the 46 second mark. How Josh was able to get the ball over an outstretched Fred Warner and right into Gabe's breadbasket is unreal. Quote

We couldn't run at all, but the passing game was unstoppable, haha. Really a well-rounded receiving group overall. Quote

The difficulty of this throw is hard to quantify. It shouldn’t even be possible. The defenders this ball had to go past… the accuracy… the evasiveness… and to hit Shakir right dead set in the numbers. Incredible. Can’t believe I didn’t see this thread until now. I’ve probably watched this throw 100 times by now. My mind was blown. In the moment, I remember thinking “did he really just do that?” and had to rewind it 10 times. I had the same feeling on the initial TD call on the sideline throw to Knox. Twice in one game with throws no one else can make. Alas Knox wasn’t inbounds, but it was a helluva play 1 Quote

Just off the top of my head, the pass to Murray in the Chiefs game, the Ty Johnson throw in the Denver playoff game, the TD to Knox in the Patriots playoff game, the throw to Shakir vs Baltimore regular season last year. I mean this is literally just the tip of the iceberg. He has some of the most improbable completions we have ever seen. How about the cross-body throw to Cook (I think) when Allen was running one way and Cook the other? In traffic! Quote

But I've never seen anyone make physics-bending throws like Allen makes every season. Think of his sideline collection alone. Mahomes makes his falling-down and no-look throws that give Collinsworth and Nick Collins shivers, but Allen is another level for the truly impossible throws. Oddly, he's not as accurate overall as any of these quarterbacks. Quote
