I engaged in a football convo with you for a few mins now. If I choose to end the convo, I can. Just as you have that same liberty. Quote

If this bills lose the same way they did the first time the noise around the team will be huge. The Patriots will be anointed a new dynasty and Maye will surge in the mouths of those who run them as the MVP. The bills ego will suffer a little bit until the playoffs when they dial it in. The January Bills are monsters If the Bills win this game it means little to them. They'll take care of business. The Patriots will have a chip on their shoulder which is what vrabel thrives on. They'll run the table if they lose to the Bills. 1 Quote

BVBILLS Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Win or lose, we are 0-0 in the playoffs. I'd rather win that game 1 Quote

The Steelers just beat the Ravens in Baltimore - Bengals could have beaten us (Burrow looks great), and Tampa will have Evans back. I believe I said full slow fade, but yeah. The Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers are a combined 10-14 in their last 8 games each, which includes wins against each other and that little win streak that the Ravens were on. Please lets not make them into something more than what they are, which is a group of not very good teams where someone has to win. Additionally the Bucs have been decimated by certain injuries, but regardless they are 2-6 in their last 8 for a total of 7-17 for the Phins opponents in the next few games. If they don't win, then they don't win. However, that is still a schedule that a team could take advantage. Edited 11 hours ago by dollars 2 donuts Quote

Really reminds me of when NE blocked manning from a title for years with kc/buffalo if it was just the bills struggling against kc that would be one thing but outside of the chiefs straight up melting down from an offensive drive before halftime straight through the end of the game against cincy (and only losing by 3 in OT) and having the lost OT coin flip scenario against NE they haven’t lost to an afc team 1 Quote

Depending on the convo you’re having sure…I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say the bills typically play good football in December/January and feeling optimistic about their chances against this playoff field based on that though. but obviously if the question is have they won anything the answer is definitely no lol. none of the other afc teams in the field have won anything recently enough to matter though. Heck 4 of the franchises have never won a superbowl at all Quote
transplantbillsfan Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Weird and interesting scenario with too many ifs... but plausible ones: Let's say Buffalo beats NE and the Browns the following week and NE also loses to the Ravens. If that were to happen, the Eagles game would be completely and utterly meaningless as far as the division goes and (I'm pretty sure) the Bills will have already clinched a playoff spot. The final game vs. the Jets would then be a game you would have to win regardless of whether the Patriots were to lose against the Jets or Dolphins. This is all assuming the Patriots don't just lose out, which I don't think is a possibility. Do you rest your starters vs. the Eagles? It'd be a weird situation where you could rest your starters in the 2nd to last game of the season but would have to go into the final game viewing that as the start of the playoffs in a way. Quote
