Even though we could run with Thurman, they recognized Kelly could gash them with Lofton, Reed and Beebe.  They decided - better Thurman average 7 or more a carry than be shot dead by the K-Gun.

Giants used either a 2-5-4 or a 2-4-5 on many of the snaps.  I feel we should be similarly creative, even if we don't use exactly what the Giants used against us or don't stay in the  formations long.  We need to mix it up, get Burrow off his spot once in a while, and manufacture pressure by sending different rushers from different angles of attack.

In an average NFL game a defense gets 7-8 stops.  I feel if we can get 5 stops, by turnover or punt, we win.  I don't care how bad we look on the 5-6 possessions where we don't get a stop.  We have to win on D sometimes, not all the times.

Whenever I see highlights I close my eyes, stick my fingers in my ears and pretend the kick is good, ya dig?

I dig more than you know!  I was there, but lived in New York at the time.  For 20+ years my friends in New York, who were all Giants fans, sent me a Christmas card saying "Merry Christmas - I am so sorry I missed that kick."  Signed:  "Happy Holidays, Scott Norwood."  Return address was always "The North Pole" - never did find out which of the miscreants was responsible.

Agree on need to change the look for Burrow. It’s been fish in a barrel for him against us.  Unfortunately LT, Carl Banks and Pepper Johnson aren’t walking through that door.

Agree!  Sadly.  But we can put some pretty good athletes out there in the look - Williams, Shaq, Milano - mix in Buffalo Joe or Cam depending on whether you want to be a little heavier or a little faster at that moment.  I will die if we sit in our usual zone and its fish-in-barrel time again.  As Teddy Roosevelt said (in substance) in "Man in the Arena" - Better to live greatly and fail than to never have lived at all!

That's funny. I don't think the postal service allows fake return addresses anymore, or doesn't deliver if they catch it. Whenever I used to mail friends gag gifts I would make out the return address as:

Hulk Hogan

1 Big Legdrop Avenue

Venice Beach, CA 50187

A recent package didn't get delivered to my friend. Also, it might be because Terry is dead, ya dig?

People act like that should have been a given superbowl and yes its probably the 1 out of 4 they should have won especially with them playing Hostetler instead of Simms but people forget that the Bills and Giants actually played earlier that season and the Bills only won that game 17-13. The Giants had a good game plan for the Bills in the regular season and giving Parcells and Belichick an extra week plus the Giants offense putting up more than 13 was the difference between the Super Bowl and the regular season game.

Hard to run a 2-5 with our LB crew!

But I agree this is a good time to break out the McD dime

package which we used against KC.

Dorian Williams delayed rush

Benford blitz from the blindside with Hairston waiting to pick up his man

Stuff like that

Have fun guys as I’m not running through this again after 34 years, the six days before I moved her to tampa for that SB, and suffered through that loss across the street at the Tampa Mall with a movie screen and radio station vans.  There were by game time 11-14,000 fans across from the Sombrero.

Enjoy the debate.  If you feel we should at time be a cover defense, not attacking, no argument, including tomorrow.  We should win.

I still think the Bills were the better team and should have won the game but that Giants team was really good and I think sometimes that gets lost in the mix because they upset San Fran and won the game on a missed kick. If anything that Giants team is probably underrated in the annals of NFL history

I know more about XXV than any rational Bills fan should. Without getting into it again, the blame falls on the D. NY TOP 41:34. 9/16 on 3rd downs.

They had them in the 1st half.  A few drives up 10-3 and then 12-3. Still hurts.

You people have PTSD!!  I am not trying to dredge up discussion of that game!  (But perhaps I should have realized I would). I am saying, given our shorthanded defense, we need to really mix it up to generate some stops (because I think we are unlikely to get many if we sit in our base nickel).  Giants were the best example I could think of where a D played outside its usual structure to throw-off a lethal offense.
