i listed it because you conveniently left out Mills 2/0😂😂

look, i get your perspective- that this limited offense led by allen should be scoring 25+ w zero turnovers on the best defense in the league or they've failed. and defensively as long as we play well for one half, mission accomplished

The defense played well overall when looking at the full game.  Last time I checked, the game doesn't end at halftime.

I would generally hope for more than 12 points from our offense, yes.  We can call it 16 due to the missed XP and passing up the shorter field goal, but would ding them for short-field turnovers that led to 6 points for the other team.

Think I saw a stat that was the lowest pressure rate allowed by the Texans OL in about 2 years.

Our defensive line has a lot of injuries.  Sefense still shut down the passing game for the most part.

they have to play well for one half after spotting a backup QB 20 points.

And listen. You get that entire sweet deal and all you have to do is hand out a bunch of $80M deals on defense and draft exclusively a million defensive players every season.

It's probably the first time the Texans OL has faced DT's lining up on the edge as well.

I can't remember the last time the Bills couldn't even FIELD enough DE's to play a game.  But that's been their reality lately.

The Bills defensive front is not competitive with only Groot playing effectively in an 8-9 man rotation.

The Bills have an average defensive unit, I wish it were better (and it very likely would be if remotely healthy) but it is what it is

And what it is is average, not terrible

enough w the injuries excuses lol. this is pro football. every team has injuries

an average unit performing average-ly vs a bad offense is not something to crow about

Our average defense posted an above-average performance versus a below-average offense, which is what one would expect.  It hit par.

Average?  They rank almost dead last in the run.  You seriously think this defense is average?  Wow

Listen, I knew Solomon was an incapable player on early downs at the edge. But I did NOT know his own coaching staff thinks he’s “start-a-defensive-tackle-out-of-position- instead” bad.

That is quite the statement.

I don’t think anyone is boasting, per se, just stating that they did enough to win the football game.

Yes?  It's bad against the run, if it weren't it would be good.  By the numbers it's an average overall defense.

We held them well below their average offensive yardage and only gave up one point above their average points scored due to two drives starting in field goal range that ended in field goals.  I don't know what else you would call it.

I get that you're mad, and stats don't matter when you're mad, but that doesn't mean they stop existing.

They quite clearly did not

Held em to average w their backup QB

Youre right. An admirable performance😂😂

Yeah Solomon has been unplayable.   I questioned his fit at draft time but am surprised that he is this bad.

I was very bummed when the Bills traded that 4th rounder to Chicago with Austin Booker on the board and THEN picked Solomon in the 5th.  Booker was basically the Bills prototype DE.  Booker hasn't set the world afire yet but he is a good player with a very high ceiling.

You could argue that they wouldn't have Deone Walker if they hadn't made that trade but if Beane doesn't inexplicably trade that Diggs second rounder just to move up in rounds 2 and 3 last spring he probably gets his man Walker later in round 3 anyway.

Solomon has been a net negative.   Hopefully some kind of light goes on for him......on the hoof he shouldn't be the second-worst graded edge in the NFL.........but his first two seasons he's been trash.

Wow it looks like Morgan Fox might be needed at Pittsburgh - not good if Solomon is veering into ST only territory.

The defense gave up fewer than 20, fam.  The offense gifted 6.  It's frankly concerning at this point that you aren't able to process that.

If they held them to 19, they still would have lost without that flukey KOR. It that were the case and we went down 19-12, I think people would still be angry about the defense. In the same way you reference that McD has groomed fans to accept his defensive struggles, a section of fans will never rationally accept rational defense imperfection. Regardless, the offense was much bigger and continues to be a much bigger problem for this team Imo
