Josh Allens career win rate is 68.6%, coming into the game we were 70% on the season, after the loss 63.6%. So not really, you can cherry pick the stats around wins and losses but we win around 2/3 of our games and have done so this season.

That's an assumption on those other teams, none of them are playoff proven.  Just like when KC was a wild card team a few years ago and everyone thought their offense wasn't good enough, and then it was.

 

Last year the Bills allow over 40 points in back to back games, and everyone thought we were screwed.  Then the defense does well in the wild card and divisional games.

 

If the reality is an 11-6 Bills team goes into Denver in the Wild Card game, I'm still picking the Bills to win.

I can't believe that i'm going to be the voice of reason round here, but here goes.......

 

The team has issues, and the team is flawed from the FO on down........there's no denying it, however, there's nothing any of us can do about it except enjoy (somewhat) the games every week.

 

I have lived and breathed Bills for the past 45 years. I own enough Bills merchandise to fill a warehouse. I even have a Bills logo tattoo on my shoulder that i've had for 45 years (it's a little faded, sloppy looking and kind of falling apart after so many years, but it kind of reminds me of this franchise actually).

I have never missed a game in all those year........either watching at the stadium, listening to them on my radio when i'm driving or on tv, however, last year i sort of learned to record the games and just watch them when i have time. I no longer work my life schedule around the Bills.

 

Nothing will change with this franchise, so to get a little bit of relief in your life, you need to make the changes and understand that complaining and moaning over things you have no control over are meaningless and exhausting.

Beane has been focused on making one play more than KC and believes everything else is roses.
 

No matter how much McDs D stinks he’ll never try something new. He wants coaches “yes man” guys,  maybe “yes ma’am” after sporting those new glasses. Either way it’s just so he can call the shots and they take the fall when ***** goes sour. 
Young players gotta have a masters degree in the playbook before they see the field and old vets hold onto their jobs despite poor play.  
 

Did anyone really have high hopes when Tre and Poyer were signed. You know they were gonna see the field. Strong looked solid in his game against Baltimore and gets pushed to the side when Tre comes back. Poyer was  on practice squad until Rapp gets hurt then jumps  Hancock on the depth chart. Look at Bishop, what do you think was more beneficial for him, sitting behind Hamlin or getting on the field so he can play and learn? If he took a step last year late in the season like he has this year at mid season it might of helped us in playoffs.  If we make playoffs this year will Poyer make an impact or be a liability like he was the last time he played for us in playoffs?  Wasting our time with these vets just play the young guys and see what happens.

 

Been saying for years this team is just treading water.

Man, you guys can be brutal after losses. It was a short week, we had a lot of injuries, playing the #1 defense in the league on the road, who were fighting for their playoff lives (with the win, their playoff chances are 47%, with a loss last night their playoff chances would have dropped to 22%) and we were still just half of Gabe Davis' foot away from winning it or a Prater XP away from tying it (no matter how brutal it looked at times). To say this is a sub .500 team (with no talent and bad coaching), without Josh, seems a bit much. First of all, who would be the replacement at QB? You mean if we didn't have Josh and Trubisky was our starter (or a bottom barrel starting QB)? Well, sure, you could say that about any team with a good QB. Any team with a stud QB is going to be worse without said QB. [In the 5 years Reid was in K.C. before Mahomes, they missed the playoffs one year, and lost their first round playoff game 3 of 4 times. Their playoff record was 1-4. And that was with a #1 overall pick at QB---though he never quite lived up to that level]. Now, if you put another good QB (not elite, just above average) on the team, that is a different matter. Are we a sub .500 team no matter who is QB? What if the QB was Mahomes, or Jackson, or Burrow, or Maye, or Hurts, or Herbert, or Mayfield, or Prescott, or Stafford, or Goff, or Alex Smith even...are we still below .500? It is silly to assume that if we didn't have Josh, we would automatically be playing with one of the worst QBs in the league without the team trying to upgrade the position. No coach wins consistently with a bad QB.

 

Also, if we didn't have Josh, the makeup of the team would be different. We wouldn't be paying Josh his huge salary and could use that money elsewhere, we probably wouldn't be drafting as low as we do (I know that was part of your post Guns), their might be more emphasis on getting a stud receiver to help compensate for the worse QB, etc., etc.

 

Over the last 5-1/2 seasons, we are 68-26 (.723% win percentage). We would need to lose 5 more games per season (across 6 seasons) to be below .500 with this staff. If we had one of the worst QBs in the league, sure, we might lose 5 or more extra games per year (most teams/coaches would), but again, if it wasn't Josh, but instead another competent (above average---not even elite) QB, I just don't see us being one of the worst teams in the league. We would still have a top 5 O-line, a top 5 RB room, a top 5-10 TE room. The offense would be called differently, etc. Just seems like a bit of disappointed hyperbole to me to say we would be one of the worst teams in the league without Josh.

I have said in another thread that if the Patriots are AFC champions this year then both McDermott and Beane should be fired on the spot immediately. The Patriots would have gone from the AFCE wooden spoon to AFC champions in one year and still have so many millions to upgrade their team in the off-season. If this scenario actually unfolds the word "devastating" would barely do it justice.

 

Kraft saw the folly of his mistake and got rid of Mayo immediately, as soon as he realistically could have. For a winning team we are dangerously close to being a laughingstock. We are whooping it up saying please keep Mike McDaniel in Miami, Woody Johnson is a terrible owner etc but all we have to crow about recently are the accumulated AFC East titles. Having a legitimate in-division foe hasn't yet hit home to the Bills brass it seems. 

 

We were so worried about Hard Knocks and what distractions that might cause, yet Beane makes himself look like a buffoon with Jeremy and Joe and then is ruefully mumbling and bumbling when striking out at the trade deadline.

 

Just keep quiet man, you and your head coach are doing the absolute bare minimum to retain your positions, you should be ecstatic that you have drafted and retained Josh Allen and James Cook and that your seats appear to be barely warm at all with all of your warts from all over the roster being displayed so easily.

 

The Patriots, Colts, Broncos, Chiefs etc must be over the moon that we will just run it back in 2026 and have the same delusional expectations that something will miraculously click with McDermott in year 10.

 

Yet still for all, I illogically think the Bills have a minuscule chance this year to win it all. If everyone truly believes they are toast they’d stop watching and bothering but I love the Buffalo Bills so still have to keep paying attention!
