Once you realize that protection is not a thing in the pocket, why not just speed everything up offensively? You've got a truly brilliant MVP QB who could easily run this kind of attack on demand. This was yet another playoff preview of what will ultimately rear its ugly head at the worst possible time.

even without realizing the protection problem, they should look at it. The offense and josh in particular are very rythym oriented, and letting playclock run to zero everytime hurts the rythym.

Also running it when best defensive players are on sideline, makes it tough for them to get back in.

Not with our MVP. Have some balls for a change.

Have you ever witnessed Tom Brady totally relying on speed and checkdowns to pull out a close game where his protections frequently broke down? Josh is more than capable of such things.

Even if they had the personnel to run it, which I don't think they do, I don't think McDermott would ever do it. He's allergic to scoring quickly because then it "exposes" his defense. I believe his ideal offense is one that would eat half the game with 2 possessions per half and then have the ball in the waning moments to win on a walkoff FG (because obviously his specialty defense would also give up points to the opponent on their 2 possesions of each half, as well).

You just might not fully understand what pace can do to break down and force a defense into mistakes.

Josh was continually in the pocket most of the game with receivers not getting any separation. We played right into their hands.

Why not have a goal of 30 points or bust every game no matter how it has to be achieved? It's honestly what you need to do to be truly elite in this league.

You might not fully understand that we don't have the personnel to do that. This ain't the 90's. No Huddle is a relic. In today's NFL, Defenses would adjust and their athleticism (especially an Elite Defense like Houston's) would have us 3 and Out'ing too often - sticking our MASH Unit or an already poor Defense back out on the field with no rest.

We don't have Andre Reed and James Lofton alongside a pair of Tight Ends like Pete Metzelaars and Keith McKeller and a Kenneth Davis to our Thurman Thomas or an anchor like Kent Hull.

Terrible idea with the makeup of this offense.

Someone pointed out at one point in time Will Anderson AND Hunter were both off the field and the Bills decided to huddle up the next play.

Two guys wrecking your offense… you’d like to think they keep them off when they have a chance.

If you don’t want to prevent substitutions then, what’s the point.
