Mikie2times Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The Bernard signing was Knox level. It wasn’t like he was going to hit the open market and land some big payday. Now little baller slots him as our MLB for the foreseeable future. Just no logic here. Quote

Mismanaging the cap with deals like that has made it hard to sign a top wide receiver too Beane didn't want to pay Edmunds but paid a 225 lb middle linebacker.. he didn't need to rush to extend Bernard to that deal Quote

He undersized, plays slow, and has had a horrible year Quote

His cap hit is under 1.8% until 2027, (3.3%) and by that time we can release him for huge savings. Like nearly 7m. His contract, honestly, is phenomenal for the team. Quote
Andy1 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Both Milano and Bernard are invisible. They both used to make splash plays, but not this year. They have both proven that the strategy of having smaller but fast LBs is a failure due to their injury frequency. Quote

All the LBers have been bad, Williams has also taken a step back. 1 Quote

LarryMadman Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Small quick guys are already at a disadvantage against equal bigger guys when 100% healthy. When injuries start to add up because of being smaller, it takes its toll faster and is more significant with regards to on field play. Unfortunately I think Milano is done after this year with Bernard and Johnson not far behind. Quote
