Shaq Thompson had a vet rest day. That's why he's on the report.

That may be the case but on the team's practice report it doesn't say "veteran rest day" as it typically would.

It says "hamstring."

On Get Up yesterday, Jeff Saturday was asked about the parallels of Bills/Chiefs with Colts/Pats- Manning/Brady,  specific to what the regular season games mean prior to playoff games.  He said it's still important because you're trying glean information and find weak spots to exploit in the playoffs - you're actually seeing/creating matchups and getting an understanding from actually playing that you can't get from film.

One other thing he said was that when the Colts were on the Bills side (losing in playoffs), they realized that physicality and the run game (what Buffalo has done) were the way they would open up the pass game which was being keyed on.

Foxworth also made the point when asked about the psychological aspect of constantly winning in the regular season then losing in playoffs is that winning consistently in the reg season is better than the alternative of losing consistently.  He reiterated the points the reg season still has importance in seeing where they think they can attack you etc.  More importantly, that the playoff games were so close, play here or there, it's not like the Chiefs were definitively better than them each time (didn't also mention injuries) and part of the competitiveness and belief that comes in the playoffs is being able to show yourself, and them, that we can beat you based on what happened in the regular season

Fair point, didn't realize his pace was that high, but Rice is KC's top weapon.

Rice targets vs LV: 10

Rice targets vs WSH: 9

Kelce hasn't had more than 8 targets all year, averaging 6 this this season.

Rice also has as many TD's in two games as Kelce all year.

Kelce is ol’ reliable. Mahomes has had him his entire career and will keep throwing to him until his legs fall off. There will never not be a point where he doesn’t produce. Look at Gronk when he went to TB to join Brady. Clearly washed, but coasted on his elite chemistry w/ his long time QB. I kind of see the same thing w/ Kelce. He’s clearly lost a step, but he knows his QB’s tendencies so well that he will always have a strong role in that offense.

The commanders game was interesting they took away a ton of the designed plays and the chiefs offense was just very well executed improv when the initial play was taken away.

thats why pressure is so important against those guys

Mahomes was dancing around in the pocket and inevitably someone breaks open. On that long Kelce play, Kelce was an inline blocker and the receivers took all the defenders way downfield. Kelce just slid out for a 5yd dump off that turned into 30+ yd.

This is not correct. He is designated with hamstring injury. See below.
