BigAl2526 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I think Ogunjobi is important mostly because of the guys who are hurt; Daquan jones, TJ Sanders and now Ed Oliver. As a player, I don't think he is a difference maker. I just hope there isn't too much of a decline in production in the middle of the defensive line with Ogunjobe getting a bunch of snaps. Hoecht has far more chance of making a difference on the outside. He gave us a sample yesterday. The jury is out on Hairston. I think he did well enough yesterday to earn a few more snaps the next time out. I think he probably has a pretty high ceiling. The only questions are whether or not he can reach it and how long will it take to get close to it? Hancock is a total unknown to me. I think he's more athletic than Rapp and Hamlin,, so I have hopes that eventually he might be better than both of them, but I have no idea how long it will take to get there. Yale grad, 5-10 210 - a bigger DB that could help in run support, explosive athletically, 43" vertical 11'3" broad jump 9.59 RAS. Suspect having gone to Yale he probably gets schemes etc pretty well. I was intrigued with Owens as well, given his size, athleticism, and potential smarts, but he never made it to the PS. Bills waived him with an injury designation prior to the last preseason game and never brought him back. Quote

Hopefully he is now doing in a legal way. For whatever he got flagged for, common sense says it was a small addition chemically. All the compounds that are going to be huge body changes, linger in the body for testing for a long time, which means hard to take, and especially to only get flagged for only late in the season. Educated guess is it was something small to help recovery on minor to mid nagging type injury. Tl:dr whatever people want to credit from his games to PEDs and think he'll lose his "pop" arent thinking about this correctly. More likely something that changed his strength/explosiveness .0005%, but aided in injury recovery. Quote
Blank Stare Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I’ll be honest on Hoecht and Ogunjobi. I wasn’t one who thought they’d be anything more than replacement level JAGS. Hoecht made plays during PS, so I was more hopeful for him than Ogunjobi, but it was also just preseason. Early returns are promising. Especially from Hoecht. But it is early. Hoping they can keep it going. As for Hancock and Hairston, I really like what they brought to the field. Team has been in desperate need of an injection of athleticism and speed and those guys brought that. Interested to see how much more work they get this week. Quote
