I grew up on WNY pizza and for me it is the Best. My go to was Pontillos in Batavia

at summertime church festivals the Sicilian style deep dish was for me also delicious and different than I was used to

I'll eat pizza about any way I can get it

I just say no to broccoli on it as I had once in Chicago. That was nasty

I am very curious to try NH Pizza. Do you get it with clams on it?

Yes. I was a chef most of my life.  I worked at Frank Pepes for a bit.  Pepes wrote the book on American Pizza.   That clam pie is amazing.  New Haven style is thin and crispy.  We had coal fired oven 14 feet by 14 feet.

I would always make our house pies extra thin and extra crispy.  I would bang a small pizza into a large size, paper thin.  We made every house pies extra you think of.  Most every day people brought in leftovers or brought new ingredients.  My favorite pie was a Korean pie we made

sounds awesome. My cousin lives in New Haven, and I am going to have to visit him now to check this place out.

To me pizzas in Buffalo have way too much cheese.

It’s funny you say that. Just about a week ago I went to the only place I’ll buy wings. The guy is from Grand Island, so it’s familiar flavors.  I’ve been getting pizza there as well for at least a decade, and on the last trip it was the first time ever that I ever thought “this is just too much cheese.”  Somebody got a little heavy handed.
