My main worry with it is he may not be able to move defenders with his eyes as effectively.  I guess that's why he's going with the plain visor though and not a tinted one.

One thing Josh still does have a tendency to do is stare guys down a bit. I wouldn't mind him wearing a tinted one.

We wore leather helmets back when I played football (or something like that) - a great thing because, as a receiver and safety, I hated anything obscuring my vision even in the smallest way.  Weirdly, I had poor eyesight and wore glasses yet I didn't like wearing glasses in games because I didn't like the rims obstructing my sight.  A visor would have driven me crazy with the hint of glare.

So I'm glad for #1 because Josh has already adjusted to the way the visor affects his vision.  #2 and #3 remain problems.  But I don't think heat or reverberation will bother him when he's in the pocket, scanning the field, in the flow, and entirely focused on the play.

I wore a visor when I played ice hockey... hated it. This was the early days of visors and it distorted the vision and between the sweat, fogging, and scratches, it was really no good.

We had the option of wearing a cage instead and I should have done that but was really trying not to spend money on equipment at the time.

Yeah, there's an upside and a downside to wearing a tinted visor.

Can he get a Knight Rider visor that does this. Then they could play the turbo boost sound effect if he jumps over someone

All good points.

Id be shocked they didnt have one and that they could not add one based on rules. But they also can't wear their socks the wrong way so you may be right.

Josh has worn one before. Not sure if just in practice or in a game.

Will be interesting to see if this is just temporary or if his wife will make him wear it permanently...lol

Of all the things she could make him wear, this would be the least cruel!  Veggies arent the only thing better for the body when raw

I think all visors need to be “approved” by the league ahead of the game but I’m not totally sure on this. Or if there is an exemption for injury.

It's a clear visor so he'll still be able to look off safeties. Hopefully it doesn't effect his game.

Buffalo Rumblings is reporting that Josh will be wearing a helmet visor this week vs. Miami after he was hit on the nose Sunday. He was wearing the visor in practice today.

I’m not a fan of him trying to poke the ball out of Beuchele’s hands in whatever that drill was….That hand is the gravy train!!

LOL.. Tell us how you REALLY feel.

At least he won’t need to worry about Wilkins plucking his pubes at the bottom of a pile anymore!!
