RIP Rick Davies

 Rick Davies, the lead singer and co-founder of British band Supertramp, has died after a long battle with cancer, He was 81.

 

Keyboardist co-wrote many of the pop-rock group's biggest songs, including "Goodbye Stranger," "Breakfast in America," and "Bloody Well Right"

That was a band that could have really made bank with a reunion tour. “Breakfast in America” was an iconic recording from my high school days … RIP

That's a band I wanted to see but never did.

Sad.  A band of my very young teenage years. They were great and i still have their songs on my various playlists.

Ironically, I’ve recently been working out the keyboard intro to Bloody Well Right.

It has some tricky timing that has escaped me forever, but I finally decided  a couple of weeks ago to finally tackle it and practice until I have it down. 
I started playing it when the record came out, but only got about as far as the first 8 bars before winging it (playing it wrong).
So now with the composer watching from above, I need to get it bloody well right.
