zow2 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I purposely don't attend night games anymore because i want to be home at night, not fighting traffic at midnight many miles from home. As a matter of fact I went to the Bills at Ravens game last season and watched the entire 35-10 debacle and got stuck getting out until 12:45am. It sucked. Never again. So while I get all the excuses of leaving this "winnable" game early, it's an option to sit these games out if your plan all along is to leave early. 1 Quote
May Day 10 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Its not like it was in a vacuum and it was a tie game or the game was apparently on the line in any way. It appeared as though the Bills had given up. Henry was running at will. The Bills were down by 15 and Baltimore had the ball with not much time left. By any measure the game was over (as shown by these stats that keep coming out that say this game was 1 of a kind). Obviously in reality the Bills proved that wrong, and people will think twice next time. People leaving when the game looked like it did in the 4th quarter shouldn't get so much criticism. Quote
ShakAttack Posted September 10 Posted September 10 To be fair, Bills fans had seen it before. Ravens are the one team in the NFL that is an extremely difficult matchup for us. Last season, they blew us out, and it looked very, very similar for the vast majority of the game. You’d have had to be delusional to think we actually had a shot down the stretch, Josh Allen or not. Let’s be real. Allen was amazing. But the only reason he had a shot was Ed Oliver. And the fact the defense made a play was a miracle in itself, based on everything we witnessed to that point. That said… I was at a backers bar in Portland, Oregon. Left at halftime. Had nothing to do with the score, and everything to do with the fact I was with my 8 year old on a “school night”. Did I want to leave? Hell no! I got there 1.5 hours before the game to make sure I had a good seat. But my point is, we don’t know the circumstances for all of these fans. Some of them may have had valid reasons to leave when they did. And frankly, if Allen didn’t say anything about it, this wouldn’t even be a story. 1 Quote
RkFast Posted September 10 Posted September 10 (edited) Watched the game again on TV last night. That stadium was a MORGUE before the 7:16 mark and the "comeback" started. Even after the Bills scored the first TD of the comeback, the crowd was not exactly jumping for joy. That stuff didnt start until the fumble. Lets stop acting like the people who left when they did...before the good stuff started happening....left some sort of positive gameday vibe and experience. Edited September 10 by RkFast Quote
