I thought they were taunting the fans by walking right in front of them. Stay in the endzone to celebrate.

Sorry the space between end zone and stands is pretty tight. Energy of the play brings DH close to the stands. Don’t touch the players in any way. Unless it’s a Bills player jumping into the first row. It’s not that hard of a concept. We as fans have zero right to touch players. Lamar just reacted in the moment. And has since apologized which he didn’t have to do.

That's an interesting take man.  I'm going to go look again.

Lamar chose to react when the fan slapped hopkins helmet. It was wrong but not a violent want to break your head open crack

Jackson then went closer to the fan where it would be assumed contact by the fan would be available. Not in the blaming victim mentality but you also have to be smarter than to put themselves in that position.

I mean how are they enforcing a ban when they don't check IDs?

Facial recognition is all over that place. There are hundreds of cameras on the stands to see every interaction, movement, nose picking. They are at the gates, etc.

I am not sure they also access law enforcement databases which scan against drivers licenses, and any other photo found for facial recognition.

(1) Important point boyst: absolutely cameras everywhere w facial recognition, in stadium. Mature tech and process. You walk in, pic taken

(2) Sworn LEOs absolutely in stadium TOC

(3)Further, the database(s) are in that TOC, this from a direct source I've known for many years (not at Highmark).

But, for variety of legal/civil liberty reasons, would not be accessed unless someone truly f's up, which leads to detainment or arrest, again by LEO.

As an aside: man, you gotta keep your hands off the players, regardless of circumstance.

There's a jail in the stadium where arrested parties go for processing and they get an appearance ticket or a ride to the holding center downtown.

People forget that the Bills stadium is fully owned by a government entity and the Bills only lease time there.

The link below gives you an idea of the tech the Sheriffs have available to them at games. You can zoom in to read name tags. This isn't what the Sheriffs use.  Their software is better.

Meanwhile, Packers fans don't even get a second look from security when they prevent opposing teams from doing the Lambeau Leap.

Apples and oranges. I can't support some kid smacking opposing players in the head as they walk by. But, I fully support that girl giving #45 the stiff-arm as he's trying to jump into their stands.

Consent. Packers fans consent to Packers players jumping into the stands, being in their personal space, and touching their persons…. They do not consent to opposing teams players doing the same, just as Lamar didn’t consent to an opposing fan invading his space.

She kept at it. If this was a dude doing it we would be up in arms.

If you’re going down this road.  Shoving a person out of your space is not a crime.
What the fan did was assault twice.  Its low level but its assault.

And the ravens encroaching on the fans areas in opposing stadiums is dangerous.

Like, European cross country kickball stadiums would never allow this. Players going near the stands would get mugged. They don't even allow opposing fans to sit together or enter the same gates.
