Just saw a YouTube video, it appears Shakir is practicing, 👍

The issue with high ankle sprains is that guys don’t usually get the 4-5 weeks off they fully need in season because more than likely teams are desperate to get them back and usually only give a couple of weeks off before pushing a guy out there at 80-90%.

Shakir’s injury occurring very early in camp meant he got a month or so worth of time off which means he probably came back in proper time

Agree, but PFT reported the average viewership for the preseason has been the highest it's been in years. Guess it proves we'll watch anything NFL related.

Exactly, plenty of people want to see the young guys, camp battles, etc.  But some people are complaining about the games being "unwatchable" when the purpose of the game is about player evaluation, not entertainment.  And there are a lot of people who do find camp battles, young guys, players battling for a roster spot, etc interesting still and entertaining even though the reason these games exist are for the coaches and GM's to put together their rosters.

Preseason is not an entertainment product is something people forget. It’s mostly for starters to shake some rust off and then for backups and PS players to get in reps to see if they can make the roster.

I do hate how for season tickets they will make you buy the preseason games but that’s the cost of doing business no one forces people to get season tickets

Agree - And yeah in a perfect world preseason tickets would be cheap or free.  But I know a lot of people at different places involved with NFL production and what a lot of people don't consider is that it isn't any cheaper for the NFL or teams to play a preseason game than it is a regular season game.  In fact, its more expensive as the revenue on the games are lower while their costs are the same as they don't get the same ad rev rates, same amount of ticket sales, etc.  Its a prime reason why the NFL wanted to shorten the preseason by a game and lengthen the regular season.

All the same expenses exist - team travel, stadium expenses, TV production, editing, in game analysts and commentary, etc etc while the revenue is less.  And one of the ways to boost the revenue is to manufacture ticket sales though forced purchase when buying season tickets.  If they didn't then by all accounts, the preseason games would be even more expensive as they would not likely replicate that ticket revenue through organic ticket sales.

If it were up to the NFL they would cut preseason even more and add another regular season game (something that has already been considered and still may be coming).  But most teams and coaches are against that as they need these games to build rosters.

As good as Shakir is, and Ofcourse I don't want him to miss any time, but that's the position I worry about the least having Josh jacobs and Elijah Moore

When did this happen?! Brandon Beane you sly son of a Bytch!

It is hard to swallow but we need to limit his snaps. If we had other guys who can fill in at a lot that'd be cool but for now we gotta use packages to pull him out and keep him right.

We've got enough guys that can run effectively in the slot that I wouldn't be opposed to this up until about New Year's.

After that I want that bad mf on the field every Sunday til he's sucking wind.

we essentially need to focus on January and playoff performance. we do not need to sleep walk through the season, we just need to win the AFCE. It'd be nice to get the top 3 seed.

but, after being beat at home several times i think being healthy in the playoffs is more important than being home.
