Trump’s DC take-over wins praise from residents, biz owners as crime plummets: ‘We feel much more safe’

By

Josh Christenson and Chris Nesi

WASHINGTON — President Trump’s takeover of Washington, DC, has put hundreds of federal agents and National Guard troops on the streets of the capital to clean up crime — and a lot of residents and business owners said they’re noticing that things feel safer already.

“All my employees, including me, we feel much more safe, and even our customers feel really happy when they walk into our store,” Indu Bhatia, who runs a liquor store half a mile from the White House, told The Post.

Bhatia said her store was robbed so many times they had to sink piles of cash into renovations to increase security.

Stuff like this!

That's pretty weak. Sanders took a bunch of sacks and looked pretty bad last time he was out there. He was also able to start a game. RGIII with a freezing cold take right here.

Obviously, the police union is part of Trump's fascist conspiracy to impose "authoritarian" control over Washington DC and soon to follow in 2025 other major cities. Then declare martial law and postpone the 2026 mid-term elections. And in the process, round up the political opposition and put them in FEMA camps in preparation for deportation to El Salvador. 😀

That's exactly what is going to happen - just watch.

You don't understand politics but you are correct this is a stupid take. BTW is extra hilarious because the year he was drafted so was Kirk Cousins, and RGIII made sure KC did not get any chances with the ones.

If you’re not one of those committing the crimes, why does the left wing media keep telling me residents are “living in fear?”

I understand not liking the precedent of military in cities as law enforcement, but argue that (though I’d argue the ones saying “stay out of our cities!!” are the exact “leaders” that allowed this to get to this point.)

Don’t tell me that those that are finally getting their cities back from being crime ridden hellholes are “fearful” because the law enforcement is wearing camo instead of black and actually doing something about criminals…

What’s the plan for the crime problem once the national guard and Feds leave. This is all pointless because it isn’t sustainable. Need to figure out a more permanent solution. In a couple weeks crime will be back.

How bout dc doesn't slash their police budget?

Remember how after St George Floyd died leftists demanded defunding the police far and wide?

Then remember how after police departments were defunded in many municipalities democrats tried to blame it on the GOP?

It was never about getting rid of bad police officers or finding alternative methods for community safety.  It was so they could turn cities into cesspools of crime, drugs and filth so people would demand an alternative socialist government from the very same socialists who screamed defund the police in the first place.

The thing is never the thing.  The thing is always the revolution.

There isn't one because this isn't about a solution to crime.

If it's really about crime, ask yourself why they haven't deployed to St. Louis or New Orleans, which have much higher homicide rates than LA, DC, or Chicago.

Then again you would have to ask why the FBI/DOJ spent countless hours and significant sums to prosecute many people  for minor crimes that don’t raise an eyebrow in other cities after 1/6.

I’d say it’s a political move in part to juxtapose the perception of soft on crime democrats (who actually sound at time like they are pro-crime) v law and order crowd.
