I’m just not sure of the point of starting another thread over it that doesn’t have a specific topic related to it. I will certainly toss jabs with some Rs in already established threads; whether it’s actually decent conversations with folks like JDHillfan and B-Man or that absolute weirdo creepy geriatric BillsFanNC who spams us with his Twitter feed that before Elon bought it likely would have ended him up on a list. But why a new thread just to call them #######s? And, more specifically, the lack of focus on the issues of concern to Americans. Read the polling. Read even this board. The MAGA focus now is on gibberish and nonsense. Rooftop dancing, alligator-protected concentration camps, new investigations about old news, and arbitrary tariffs. None of that deals with the issues of principal concern to Americans, namely, the state of the working class economy and the Epstein files. (The Epstein files representing, of course, a touchstone for rich people getting one over on regular folks.) This happens in American politics all the time. A new government comes in all full of talk of reform. And then it becomes obsessed with retaining power regardless of its principles. It's particularly true of Trump 2.0 (and yes, to be fair Biden before him, and Obama 2.0 before that). That's what happens when the presidency becomes a Cult of Personality. You might well ask "what personality" with respect to Biden. And I'll respond that he ran on a Return to Normalcy plank. Restore stability in the government, take things more down a middle of the road track. And then he governed much farther to the left as he desperately tried to keep a previously winning coalition (educated white people, minorities) intact. 4
