Wacka Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Felix Baumgartner, 56, the man who jumped from a balloon at 24 miles altitude in Oct 2012 died today in a paragliding accident in Italy. Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Sounds like he died while paragliding (heart attack maybe?) and that caused the crash. He was already dead in the air before he hit down. Luckily no one else seriously injured, although one hotel worker got hit and went to the hospital for a neck injury. I remember watching that jump from "space". So cool. Was a bit hairy for a moment because iirc he went into a spin, but then got out of it and ultimately landed on his feet! RIP Quote
Simon Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Not really about Felix B, but this dude has taken wingsuit lines to a whole other level. 🫣 2 Quote
