So since the folks on the right are so vehemently claiming this is completely fake, my honest question is: what if he DID write it?
 

If it’s not fake, and the WSJ decided to use an actual credible source or two, and not set themselves up for a 10 gazillion dollar lawsuit, I assume you’re claiming it’s fake because if it were real, it would be damning.
 

If something came out that objectively proved it was real and Trump wrote/drew it, would you go with the “so what?, we know Trump isn’t a great guy” Or the “that’s horrifying and I now rethink my feelings on him?” I’m assuming the former since you’ve admitted you think the man himself isn’t great. And in that case, why the such stanch denial/claim it’s fake? 
 

Honest question. Interested in your take on that possibility.

I have not claimed it to be fake. I don’t put anything past Trump. I also know we have spent several years now with people trying to take him down by any means necessary.  The media has willingly sh*t their credibility away in attempts to foil the bad orange person. Any reporting they do immediately comes with a large dose of suspicion. 
 

That the two of them were buddies 20+ years ago is well known. If he wrote a letter a couple decades ago in prose that seems incredibly un-Trumpy, then he wrote a letter. Now what? Impeach? Express disgust? Vote democrat (NO) in 2026?
 

The guy is going to be President for 3.5 more very tiring years. Democrats and media will be looking to take him down every day. A couple years from now the headlines will read “Why Vance is More Dangerous Than Trump”. Lefties here at PPP will be thinking about Trump when they get up to PP in the night and carry that through the day. Every day. I don’t know how they do it. 
 

Now you. Let’s say he wrote the letter. What is the recourse you desire?

At worst by then maybe Trump was aware of what Epstein was doing.  
 

That's it.  Waiting 4 years Epstein will be finished.  Before that Trump barred him from Mar a Lago and has been referred by lawyers involved in the Epstein case as extraordinarily helpful.

 

I don’t believe any rich elites are “close.”  That on its face is a joke.  They’re rich.  They all want to be in the elites club so don’t burn bridges.  Got to know all the right people.    
 

They keep their connections open and extend them to others.

 

The letter I believe is fake.   But if it isn’t it still is absolutely meaningless.

It is honest.  there's multigenerational poverty in areas such as Vance grew up in.  I don't give those people a pass for the most part.  It's how they've always lived but they're not going to go to work even if anyone would hire them or there were jobs in those communities.  And many are unable to fill out the forms necessary even if they can somehow go to work.  In some of these places, small hospitals are the largest employers.  And many will likely close. but no doubt, even after they're out of insulin and out of food, they'll vote R.

At this point, it just doesn’t matter for his base. There is no more moral majority left in the R party. Any evidence is fake to them. There could be video of Epstein passing off a young girl to Trump as they go to a room and his base wouldn’t care. The religious wing of the party would be talking about forgiveness. They would have another prayer party over him and call him clean and messenger from God. The only issue is if enough independents get repulsed by it all to swing the midterms.

 As far as recourse? None. I believe he may have written it. I also don’t believe he’s a pedophile. So I will have the same thoughts on him I did the day before - that he’s a vile human who doesn’t care about others and is wholly unqualified to be POTUS. That doesn’t change for me. 
 

Im just hoping the two parties  can finally stop all this nonsense that’s been going on for the last, what, decade and a half? More? And we can get two people we’re at least proud to watch debate on the ticket. Both sides are awful, the country is more divided than it’s been in my life, and I do think Donald’s “gasbag” personality has added to that (I’m not saying the left is innocent in it, I just feel like he was a pretty strong catalyst). 
 

So my answer to if it’s proven to be him? Honestly, it’s not even top ten of the gross, inappropriate, or mainly unpresidential things he’s said or done in his life (I used to be a regular listener of Howard stern before he became too liberal for even me, and listening to old episodes it’s ***** SHOCKING that that dude got one vote, much less the majority; TWICE!) . Which is why I think it’s so sad that he somehow became the president.

Here's the thing I think you're missing.  Epstein could well have been mosaad or another Israeli intelligence agent.  How did he get so wealthy, so quickly?  How did he get a highly paid, highly competitive brokers job at Goldman Sachs with no degree?  How did he come to know the influential Maxwells as a kid from Brooklyn?  How did he get teaching job at a prestigious prep school with no college degree?

 

If he were a foreign agent, his actions and that of his "friends" could change global alliances.  They may well have...
