Probably going to find out it was a relative of a law enforcement official. I know it could be anyone but it would be a hell of a lot easier for a close relative to acquire a police uniform and patrol vehicle if those reports are true.

A couple thoughts here. First, tragic outcome for the family and our political system.  I’ve been against the death penalty for a long time, but should this perpetrator end up shot dead in the street it would be ok with me. 
 

Second, most definitely time to NOT jump to conclusions.  Could be a right wing scumbag looking to start something, could be a left wing scumbag like Mangione looking to appeal to people who support this sort of thing, and all sorts of misdirection is potentially in play.   
 

Third…the facts of the shooting are precisely the reason the dopey senators stunt from this past week was so foolish.  These days, assuming anything about anyone is not very unwise.
