Mamdani seems to be the NYC Dems selection in response to continuing cost of living increases. Same forces brought Trump back to office. Will be interesting to see if his flavor of politics expands in the party outside of NYC. Voters don’t seem to care about political experience, as long as they like the message. Trump will probably try to punish Mamdani/NYC since he hates when anyone else gets the media cameras.

But Mamdami doesn’t win, doesn’t even stand a chance, if New York was made up of New Yorkers as they supported Cuomo/Sliwa at almost 70%
 

Young transplants feeling strangled by the high costs of NYC and foreign born voters wanting handouts delivered him the city. 
 

He’s clearly a talented politician, but that doesn’t matter if the voting base isn’t imported.  
 

Which is why Biden did what he did, and why Dems will continue this immigration strategy in future administrations.
