I would say that Electing Mamdani would help the GOP by giving them a good example of the failures of the far-left,

...but we already have California and Minnesota.

The Democrats will elect this guy, then move out to a Red state when it fails, but will continue to vote-blue-no-matter-who. Like a virus.

Expect Mamdani to win but ultimately over-promise and under-deliver. Its unlikely his plan will raise enough revenue or get State legislature cooperation. Then he'll blame Trump.

I conclude: New York is weird. There is no understanding New York politics because it is based on secret dealmaking and ethnic/religious group promised favoritism. You might as well bet on which Mafia family will become the dominant one.

Escape From New York: Nearly a Million May Flee If Mamdani Wins

By Ward Clark

New York City has been, for many years, one of the major centers of global finance and trade. The business of New York, as the saying goes, is business - or, it was. The one constant in history is the lack of constants, and the place New York City once occupied as a business and banking center may be about to come to a screeching halt.

Why? Because a self-described Democratic socialist, Zohran Mamdani, looks to be the next mayor. The election is now only hours away, he leads in every poll, in every matchup, although we note that Andrew Cuomo has narrowed that lead somewhat; and, again, it's a fine pass New York has come to when Andrew Cuomo is the better choice.

One of the likely results of a Mamdani win will be an exodus of the productive; estimates are that as many as 760,000 people may flee New York for greener pastures.
