And the more years you have in the NFL the more your minimum salary is. His is right around where a 6th year player is. I know how the minimum salary works and he is technically above it... Even if slightly...And I would take him above plenty of other dime corners The difference is most players getting cut are not NFL quality players.. cam Lewis is an NFL quality slot corner, back up safety and special team player he's actually talented and tough enough to play in the NFL... And he has tape that's better than a lot of dime corners Edited 6 hours ago by Buffalo716 Quote

I've been around him since his time at UB and he's a warrior If we have players who are clearly better I wish him the best but I want the best players I think he does have a fight for the roster this year but I do think he does have future options elsewhere in the league Quote

If the Bills let him walk, I hope he makes it back to the PS. Failing that, I hope he gets an opportunity elsewhere. Quote

He does have some underrated cornerback skills He played on an island at UB.. literally a one-on-one Island like revis a bunch Undersized and undermanned out wide... 5' 10 with cleats... And he battled against 6 ft Plus division 1 wide receivers for years getting the best of 90 plus percent of them While dealing with a terrible infection which could have made him lose part of his arm.. played with a club at UB ... Was a team leader on and off the field I've had his back since day one here because spend many days around the UB program and nothing would make me happier than to see him succeed even more 1 Quote

It just weeds out the low end for cuts. I disagree. Real competition for either a roster spot or a starting spot can make you work harder than you would if guaranteed a spot. Especially when there's such a short life in the NFL and you want to maximize your earnings. Hamlin's pry reached his ceiling. However, Rapp, Forrest, and Bishop absolutely could improve gunning for that starting role. We could definitely argue to the degree in which competition actually contributes to them developing into a better player but I don't see any negatives. Quote
