One of Rush's (Neil's) most powerful lyrical compositions, it certainly resonates more with me as the years pile up.

 

For me a great cover pays homage to the original while putting your own stamp on it. Tricky.

another stellar OTW music thread folks. I love the variety. The thing about covers is if the song was good enough to cover in the first place it tends to be a very worthy song.

 

I go to YouTube and ask for any song the just type cover and you will see something you'll not have heard before. That's the best thing about music. there are endless possibilities 🙂

youre darn tootin! it's friggin little richard! people say he was less than a god but more than a man. the original song is always a tough nut to crack. i generally dont like covers that sound like the original. give me something chopped up and put through a meat grinder
