China is losing this trade war and have vowed to fight until the end. Republicans will lose the midterms if they fight on so they are at a disadvantage so hopefully China sees the writing on the wall and concedes

Yup.  We're consciously uncoupling from them.

I for one am thrilled that my future iphones will be produced in an Indian factory with even poorer work conditions and cheaper labor than those in China.

America gets greater by the day!

On the other hand, perhaps the people in India will seize the moment, and this opportunity to improve the lives of its citizens.  We know what happens in China, and the fact that you feel like they suck less than India doesn't mean it needs to be that way.  Either way, you still get easy access to your lawyer porn, where "OVERRULED!" takes on a whole new meaning.

In the real world, I am thrilled that India is making progress.

I'm just pointing out that shifting production from China to India doesn't really do anything for those would-be American manufacturing jobs.

And it may be a niche, but lawyer pr0n is my niche, so please lay off. My barrister wig is my own business.

You've missed the details underpinning the alliance if you think it's only about shifting cheap manufacturing.

It's about mutual investment over the next serval decades in areas of technology, energy development and military hardware that will counter China's growth.
