BringMetheHeadofLeonLett Posted April 27 Posted April 27 "Hi hon! I'm just about to take off from the Eisenhower, just off the Gulf coast- hope you're having a great day!" Yeah, I'm sure that was totally rad, dude. 1
BringMetheHeadofLeonLett Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Why are you even pretending? Seriously, what do the F/A-18 pilots stand to gain by Pete Hegseth blabbing battle plans, as they launched, and over an unsecured and unapproved channel to his wife, brother and lawyer?

Create viewpoints never expressed, and now demand responses, as if you have any qualification to do so. The point is I don't care about Hegseth. What I do care about is cabinet level influence at the Pentagon, which ultimately goes downstream to our services. I do care that the past four years were marked by political appointments that were identity driven and not positive nor effectual. Much the same as other gov institutions. If Hegseth can reverse that and redirect the focus on fighting wars instead of social experiments, I'm OK. If not, or if he proves to be a risk to that goal by lack if discipline or incompetence, fire him. Not complicated. I care as much about him as I do about you. Expand what social experiment. We had a high level military official as a speaker for our civic club. He said international "rice bowl" operation such as those our organization helped fund were more effective than shooting wars and helped prevent them. rice is cheaper than bullets and missiles. You know, the kind of stuff USAID did. Agree?

A Hegseth would put on eye-liner and scream victimhood. Expand You guys want to play the "what if" game. Who knows if he was still carrying out his duties? The Signal chat group had no chance of being hacked-into and that they weren't going to be accidentally adding enemy combatants into it. It was a mistake that won't happen again. I don't backtrack on my feelings on this matter, I commented on the tendency of some people with 'soft' agendas deflecting- as a tactic to avoid addressing the actual issue. It's a common approach from people who know they are on shaky ground, but still want to rattle their sticks. C'mon, you and Sherpa and 'Doc' tell me what a '***** fantastic' choice Pete Hegseth is as Secretary of Defense. You can't possibly, so you get your *****-wipes in a dither. Expand No one declared the topic to be “I’d like to talk about Iran and enlistment rates”, though you’ve done your level best to imply others have. If your feeling is that another poster is attempting to hijack the thread by talking about issues not on your Pravda-approved checklist, consider how you jumping in with your commentary perpetuates the discussion. The actual issue involves Hegseth, and many posters have shared their thoughts on that subject. You not liking the response is irrelevant, though if you had some actual constructive feedback other than bumper slogans about sticks rattling, maybe you wouldn’t present as an old guy pushing a stolen shopping cart and shouting obscenities at random passersby. You may lack the capacity to do so, though I do acknowledge you self-censoring. That contributes to a more positive community experience. Btw, I’m always amused and intrigued when insults are lobbed my way and asterisks conceal the meaning. Can you phonetically reposition “*****-wipes” for greater clarity?
