Corso officially retiring from Gameday

Thanks, Coach! It's been fun! But it was clear over the last couple of seasons that he shouldnt be on a live broadcast anymore.

 

Wishing him a long and happy retirement!

He was such an important piece of that show for so long. The last few years he aged like Joe Biden. Watching him speak was painful.

I always enjoyed his takes. Long before College Gameday became a traveling circus.

 

He made the game fun with his predictions, and he brought astute analysis to the game.

A stroke and age will do that to ya.  Still, the guy was a legend on that show and the poster child for loving what you do.  It was infectious.  He will definitely be missed.

Yeah, this is a tough one, but I get it.  Him being on live these days can be borderline uncomfortable.  I tuned in to college gameday so many times in large part because of Corso.  I've tuned in recent years, calling my son down at noon so he can see his prediction.  

 

I wonder if the parties will consider a taped feature every week like they had lou Holtz do for awhile.  

 

End of a fun era nonetheless.
