I will admit he's got a point about overconsumption.  But I completely agree with you - that's a personal decision.  And the overconsumption in no way justifies all of his nonsense BS re: tariffs and debt and destruction of wealth.

SOME Maga are trailer trash just like some woke liberals are trash...I personally know many really, really good people who are MAGA.  I can't grasp what they connect to with Donald, but I don't hate them because of it...some of them I love dearly.  A fair conversation goes a long way most of the time.

I voted for trump because of the state of the democratic party, not because I connect with Donald Trump. Republicans definitely have their own issues but they are the lesser of the two evils imo.

I wouldn't immediately characterize someone who voted for Trump as MAGA.  To me, to be MAGA there is a level of fandom and unabashed loyalty to the movement.  I know lots of people who held their noses and voted for Trump but that wouldn't tell anyone that.

This guy is so completely out of touch with reality and the “common folk.” At least Biden has a smoothing brain to blame for being disconnected. 
 

HIS BASE are the ones who “a couple of bucks” mean the most to - the lower class and those living below the poverty line that foolishly believed the words he said when he touted that prices would go down “starting on day one.”  Now it’s “prices will go up. But suck it up, it’s only a few dollars.”
 

This from the guy who thinks the word groceries is an old fashion term for a bag you put all the things in.
 

His electorate knew what they were voting for - a conman who lies basically every time he speaks. And they chose to believe prices would go down as he made that a campaign promise. I guess the folks who can’t afford toys can commiserate with the Mexican government who is still trying to pay for that wall.
