The reviews really were cumbersome. The NLL needs to find a way to speed them up. And why can’t they find working mics for the refs?

 

The good news is the Bandits take Game 1 by a 12-10 score and can secure the championship in Saskatchewan on Sunday. Also, Dhane Smith passes his coach, John Tavares, to become the all-time playoff scoring champ in NLL history.

Tough loss. Great game. Both have been great games to watch. Hoping Buffalo wins but I’m pretty happy about watching another game next weekend.

 

When different teams have game to Halifax there are certain players that catch my eye and I really like watching, Buchanan is now on that list. Despite size he does all the dirty work inside, which I love. He’s always fighting for loose balls and still scores some great goals.

I agree, tough loss, but the Bandits have the opportunity to win it at home next Saturday. Buchanan is a joy to watch. They’ll need him to do all of the off-ball things that you mentioned ne t week to secure the three peat.

Connor Farrell, the Bandits faceoff specialist, lost almost every faceoff last night. That's a lot of extra possessions for Saskatchewan. They better figure out what was going wrong by next week.

Bummer they couldn’t get it done last night. But now they get the chance to win the 3-peat at home!

 

I might see if I can score some tickets to the game. Prices still seemed reasonable enough on stubhub.

He was a problem Game 1 too. He seemed to do better at the end of Game 2. Not sure if he figured something out or just got lucky. In any event, unless he looks a lot better in game 3 I expect to see someone else brought in next season.

Agreed, the milkman did not deliver last night. He wins face offs with strength and leverage, but the Rush FO specialist seems to have quickness, which befuddles Farrell.

And faceoff wins are huge in lacrosse, even more important then hockey. If you can't win then you are just handing extra possessions to your opponent after every goal. The Bandits managed to overcome that in game 1.
