Now that I have, I find it highly entertaining and the joy of watching your team hoist a championship trophy is pretty sublime. I can't image how much that would be magnified if the Sabres ever won the cup or the Bills the Lombardi. Quote

ChevyVanMiller Posted May 16 Author Posted May 16 Just a reminder, Game 1 of the finals tonight 7:30 PM at Banditland. Best of 3 series. Two evenly matched teams. Here's the tale of the tape: https://www.nll.com/game/703434224/saskatchewan-rush-vs-buffalo-bandits/2025-05-16/ 1 1 Quote
BananaB Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Hope Buffalo pounds the ***** put them. Hate watching players dive and that’s all Saskatchewan players did against Halifax. Quote
BananaB Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Great game! Hate all the reviews in the last 2 minutes though. 1 Quote
ChevyVanMiller Posted May 17 Author Posted May 17 The reviews really were cumbersome. The NLL needs to find a way to speed them up. And why can’t they find working mics for the refs? The good news is the Bandits take Game 1 by a 12-10 score and can secure the championship in Saskatchewan on Sunday. Also, Dhane Smith passes his coach, John Tavares, to become the all-time playoff scoring champ in NLL history. 3 Quote
ChevyVanMiller Posted May 18 Author Posted May 18 Just a reminder, Bandits play for the threepeat tonight at 8 PM. CW network in Buffalo, TSN in Canada, ESPN+ everywhere else. Quote
BananaB Posted May 19 Posted May 19 (edited) Tough loss. Great game. Both have been great games to watch. Hoping Buffalo wins but I’m pretty happy about watching another game next weekend. When different teams have game to Halifax there are certain players that catch my eye and I really like watching, Buchanan is now on that list. Despite size he does all the dirty work inside, which I love. He’s always fighting for loose balls and still scores some great goals. Edited May 19 by BananaB 1 Quote

I agree, tough loss, but the Bandits have the opportunity to win it at home next Saturday. Buchanan is a joy to watch. They’ll need him to do all of the off-ball things that you mentioned ne t week to secure the three peat. Quote

That's a lot of extra possessions for Saskatchewan. They better figure out what was going wrong by next week. Quote
BillsFan4 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Bummer they couldn’t get it done last night. But now they get the chance to win the 3-peat at home! I might see if I can score some tickets to the game. Prices still seemed reasonable enough on stubhub. 1 Quote

Not sure if he figured something out or just got lucky. In any event, unless he looks a lot better in game 3 I expect to see someone else brought in next season. 1 Quote

He wins face offs with strength and leverage, but the Rush FO specialist seems to have quickness, which befuddles Farrell. 2 Quote

If you can't win then you are just handing extra possessions to your opponent after every goal. The Bandits managed to overcome that in game 1. 1 Quote
