That was the Chargers Super Bowl

It was a dangerous combo for the reasons he pointed out, but one a team in a must win position with Super Bowl aspirations should overcome as you pointed out. Some will say we did in fact overcome it, but to me, I just don't see the big black and white differences that would make me think much has changed as so many other do. We are running the football more, sure. We are also going on long offensive droughts where we can't generate a first down. Defense is touch and go. We let a 2nd stringer with very few weapons move the ball pretty easily. I really don't see what so many are seeing as far as this team making some glorious playoff run. I don't know what evidence we have to lean on such a consideration. I don't put Dallas on the level the national media did especially on the road. They have had so many late season choke jobs against decent teams. Then we beat KC on a coin flipper. Same as SD. Good to see coin flippers go our way, but what is really making this iteration of the Bills better than previous ones?

People who think the Bills can win the Superbowl this year will be disappointed. Take it one week at a time and enjoy the ride because it will end without a Lombardi.

What team in the AFC looks significantly better and has been playing more consistent football this season?

I’m not saying they’re winning the whole damn thing, but they’re as dangerous as anyone, possibly more dangerous.

I appreciate the optimism, but that was the Bills Super Bowl as well.

If they lost, they go home. Season is likely over.

Can't let teams stick around like that. Love the win though and I'm thrilled, regardless.

please refrain from using the word “stick”

Agree but they are equally as bad as anyone too.

If we get the good version of the Bills then look out.

A bad version and we know the results.

This team has a low floor and a high ceiling. They are capable of missing the playoffs or winning it all.

Let's hope for the latter.

I love these ‘I’m smarter than other people because I’m predicting a team won’t win the superbowl’ type posts lol. Winning the superbowl is extremely difficult in a single game elimination playoff structure even for the best team in the league…it’s not exactly a bold prediction that any individual team won’t win it 😂

Every year a team wins the superbowl that had some amount of fans posting about how they had no chance of winning it

We don’t string together 3-4 wins against above .500 teams. We don’t win close games at an above .500 rate. We don’t win OT games. So I get why it’s popular to say how dangerous we could be, but being dangerous in the context you’re using requires a team to win close games and have the gods of luck on your side. Which you can usually help along by making great decisions, playing clean, etc. which is why we tend not to be able to be that sort of team.

If almost losing or losing to a bad team disqualified you from the superbowl nobody would ever win it lol

we’re going back a month and a half  to when we blew a winnable game  to show our team could lose to anybody after a close win?

I think it’s more “I’m smarter” to realize nothing material has changed in the makeup or performance of this team from the start of the year so to

think they will somehow outperform previous years in which they were better is really short sighted. That is actually a contrarian opinion at this time.

The larger opinion is it was all Dorsey, McD either learned or never needed to learn, and we are vastly improved from earlier this year.

They may be inconsistent, but they’re not low floor. We’ve watched them bottom out this year and it resulted in 1 score losses that were entirely winnable.

That’s not low floor.

I don’t think I did 😂. There’s a good version of the team and a bad version of the team (literally every team has good and bad games) and if the bad version shows up we are screwed (can say that about literally any team)   If the good version shows up we can beat anybody.

my counter point is the good version has shown up far more than the bad recently and we found a way to win today when things didn’t go our way so I am questioning heavily the ‘we can lose to any team’ part of your post…low floor is crazy too we are in every game

I mean I get this whole boogeyman argument of wow we struggled against x team just wait until we see insert superbowl contender but we have showed up for those games

Idk what time period you’re saying nothing has changed from specifically…early in the year we were destroying people then we were vastly outmatched on the defensive side after losing Daquan, tre white, Matt Milano, and I believe Ed Oliver was out for that pats loss also.  If you’re saying nothing has changed since that low point in the season I vehemently disagree 😂. Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion though.

2-1  vs kc and Dallas with a loss after an absolute missile of a fg in the rain vs philly showed me this team can succeed in the playoffs.  I don’t think a close win on a short week cross country road trip takes much away from that especially with Daquan and AJE and Micah Hyde returning soon

Still missing the point. The Bills ceiling is by far higher than probably every team in the AFC.

Chargers fired all their canons They played hard 60 minutes   Give it to the interim staff they had the team playing hard with nothing on the line and Bills fans having taken over their stadium

I knew we weren't going to get the crappy Staley version of this team.  Giff had them all fired up despite over half the fans were Mafia.  It just felt all game like Josh & Co. we're off.  More ridiculous turnovers.  Very little production from Diggs, Cook and Kincaid.  Just a "win and survive" game like the Giants.

Los Angeles friend echoed your sentiments. 50% Bills fans.

Odds are they won't but that won't stop me from cheering for the best.

They can be a very dangerous team. Tonight wasn't a great example of that They  have to play better and hopefully they do.

Was just listening to McD’s postgame press conference and he mentioned that the Chargers were doing some things they haven’t done all year. Wasn’t on film.

That’s another reason why teams get an interim coach bump.

Full of excuses. This game shouldn't even have been close.

Stop with your non sense.

Celebrate the ugly win but stop with the excuses.

If the Bills play this quality of football they will be on vacation soon.

Let's hope, some AFC teams competing with the Bills playoff hopes lose. Miami, Jags, Denver, Houston, and Indy...

Let's hope the Bills execute better and play well down the stretch.

All in all it was a huge win!
